Nope you can start directly with this one. I've never watched the 1988 series and I still managed to thoroughly enjoy this season.

I'm pretty sure aside from the characters the two don't have much in common. After all Osomatsu-kun is aimed at children, whereas Osomatsu-san is more for a mature audience.

I'm curious. How does it feel to be a walking piece of human garbage?
Because you clearly seem happy with it.
Also, by your 'joke', I think you must be pretty familiar with being a gas station attendant, and are probably living in your parents' basement.
It's a good show for people with a sense of humor, which you clearly don't have.

Mirai, just do as the 3-episode rule entails. You'll get a good idea of the jokes you'll see in the series. You'll have to download the first episode via torrents though. It was literally so funny it was banned, you can't watch it legally.

Yes, it's one of the best anime comedy out there.
