I'm just wondering if there are any good anime where a character has to keep looping back in time and repeating the same time period to solve a problem.

It particularly interests me because I have a lot of dreams like that. Where things will go wrong and I reset them and try again. I think I've probably played too many video games where save scumming is an option. :D

Steins;Gate sounds like what you’re asking for. It has a really slow start but it uses that start to explain how everything works in the second half. I recommend you give it a shot and push through the slow start.

I played/read the visual novel remake that incorporated animation from the show. I quite enjoyed it. I felt like it could have done with being a fair bit shorter, but I have that problem with most VNs I've played. Definitely a good suggestion!

Im gonna put these in spoiler tags cuz it's not revealed until later on, but and both kinda deal with this. Of course, for the second one make sure you watch the previous entries before jumping into it.

There's the Endless Eight arc in the Suzumiya Haruhi series:

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

Of course that's just one arc in a 28 episode-long series (well, two seasons combined) per this episode list. It's capped off by a pretty amazing movie sequel. The movie also has a spot that requires the protag to "redo" an earlier event.

ERASED is kind of similar to that. And if you enjoyed Steins;Gate, I can recommend S;G 0. Great add-on to the series.

I just watched erased. It's what got me thinking about it.

I don't know if I could handle more STEIN;S GATE. The pacing is way too slow for me. I started Chaos Child which is a VN by the same writer and it has the exact same issue for me. I'd probably enjoy it if they condensed the story to half the length.

Are you referring to the visual novel or the anime? Steins;Gate 0 is also an anime, it's ~25 or so episodes long if I remember correctly. I agree that the games are quite long, I haven't played them myself though. Only heard a friend have a similar remark.

Ah okay. I might check it out then. That doesn't seem too bad.

First thing that comes to my mind are Steins;Gate and Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu

"I want to show that woman the true Yoshikage Kira. I want her to hear how I feel deep inside. That I want to take your slender neck into these hands and strangle you to death."
