I have a feeling that when people compare one heroine with another, they also mean it at the same time as in relationship with the main protagonist, which is ridiculous. I will be clear up front, when I think of them I think of them as their own separate persons, not related to Kirito. After all the topic of discussion is not (Asuna / Alice) X Kirito..... If we are to consider who has the best relationship with Kirito, is there even a contest? His relationship with Asuna is pure perfection, and you can't just beat that. However, when I consider Alice and Asuna as their own persons, I can easily see that both of them are amazing. I guess that should be obvious, since they were both made to be main heroines, so it's natural they have many positives and few negatives. They are actually very similar as a person, with a slightly different way of doing things. The obvious answer when you consider them as their own person is that they are both great, no objective way to determine which is better. It's a tie and that is perfectly fine for what their role in the story is. |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| Asuna. I've been watching her from the start of the SAO series and she's just top waifu material. I also like Alice's character as well if Asuna is 10 then Alice is 9.99. it just my personal opinion idk |

| I like Alice a lot, she has a great personality and is a great character. I understand why there are people who would prefer Alice to Asuna, But I choose Asuna. Reason I'm choosing Asuna is because I'm making the choice from Kirito's perspective (if that's even possible xD). They've been together through hell and prevailed. Asuna saved Kirito when he was almost killed by the Laughing Coffin member, and shielded him (and almost got killed) against Heathcliff... (There are many instances affirming that the bond between these two is unbreakable). It won't be an exagerration to say that without Asuna, Kirito wouldn't become the same person we know today... So yeah, it's Asuna all right! That being said, if this was a vote between Alice and any other girl (except for Asuna), then Alice would probably take the win. |
