| An introduction? Okay, you can do it, buddy, remember the simulations. Hi, my real name is Gustavo, was born and raised in Brazil but English is the one language I love. My moniker, as you can see, Gray_Angus has a very special meaning to me, you see, when I thought of it I thought it sounded kinda cool. My interests stretch as far as books, movies, music, games, and anime. Okay, nothing new huh? Okay then, I'll expand a little: When it comes to literature I'm more of a fan of traditional novels, books such as Name Of The Rose, Moby Dick, Lord Of The Flies, Primo Basilio (doubt anyone will recognize this one), and others of the sort. I like it when it's more introspective and doesn't spell it out to you its meaning. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate some good old fun books too, stuff from Agatha Christie, Dan Brown never really hurt anyone. I guess I can also extend and say it that I too like Graphic Novels, (which to me it sounds like a fancy name for COMICS), your casual superhero stuff, Batman, Justice League, Watchmen and others of the sort, but also read ones such as Black Hole and Essex County, which have an unconventional art style and narrative, no supers here. And obviously, this extends to manga, I may not be as experienced as some users, but I still read it slowly but surely all the ones I own, 20th Century Boys, Ghost In The Shell, and MW just to name a few. When it comes to movies I consider myself a pretentious amateur, I like movies from every genre and decade, however, am highly critical and like to over-analyze it as well. Movies such as Goodfellas and Blues Brothers are among my favorites. When it comes to music I quite enjoy mostly 70's British Rock, all your Prog stuff from that time, AOR from the '80s, and a little bit of everything else in between. Rock is not all I listen to, I too like myself some good old jazz, Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Dave Brubeck to name a few. Blues as well, B.B King, John Lee Hooker, and others. Some traditional Brazillian music, but not much. There's probably some more I'm forgetting. Games, now that's my favorite one. I love games with a burning passion. I love to analyze games, talk about game design for hours, and straight-up play them. All the other hobbies I mentioned I came to enjoy them at around, 14, 15 years old, but not games, this is something I did since a kid. My favorites are Kingdom Hearts ( I and II), Chrono Trigger, Uncharted series, Zelda games, that's about right for now. Finally, anime, I came to watch anime after being super curious for months but being too stubborn to give in, "what, I don't watch that kind of nerdy crap, what do you take me for?" How naive was I, for two months later I watch Dragon Ball for the first time, at 14. "Well, whatever, everybody watched DB when younger, so what?" Little did young me knew that sooner than expected he would be watching Sakura-sō no Pet na Kanojo and from then on he was hooked. Ever since then I've been watching it quite often, no I don't watch as much as some of you guys, I'm a very slow watcher, but hey, why rush? Lengthy isn't it? Hope that's okay. There are quiet a few times where I have had to explain my taste in film, music and other cultural matters. But, none so often as when I say to people that I love to watch anime. Do you know what they think I am watching? Yes, of course! They think I watch hentai, but that is all they know about Japanese film and movies. Or..rather, they think that they know! I discovered anime when i was 12yrs old it was some older ecchi anime, i don't remember, but of course i watched anime from the young age - aka the famous Pokemon and Naruto and even Fullmetal Alchemist, my favorite genres are Action, Adventure, Magic, Fantasy, Game, Supernatural, Romance and so on (i like a lot of other genres too). I have all kinds of great disorders like ADHD, dyslexia and other learning stuff problems, weak imunity, stomach problems (weaker digestion and small hint of celiac disease) I'm suffering from sociophobia aka Social anxiety disorder so i don't really have much friends online nor irl, i have this disorder from cca 2016 i don't remember exactly when it developed, but it got worse recently so i finally decided to go to a psychiatrist for help and started to taking prescribed antidepressants and it's getting a lot better for me since then, so here i am writing this hoping i can make new friends to talk to, so if you are interested i would be more than glad to talk to you guys and start to socialize :D Also hope my english is good/makes sense! :) |

| Greetings and salutations ✌ I got invited here and since I haven't joined any other clubs yet I thought sure, why not, lol I'm Danny, I'm 25, I've been watching anime on and off basically since I was a kid (started with the usual, Pokemon, Digimon, etc.), had a weeb phase in middle school but who hasn't? Been getting back into anime lately so it's nice to be in a community that shares that interest! |
