| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This anime has so many different elements, and somehow they all mesh together effortlessly. It's a balance I think a lot of shows wouldn't be able to handle, the direction and writing has structured something truly unique. They really impressed me when they spaced out the two Fennis flashback episodes the way they did. This mix of comedy and seriousness, sometimes within the same scene and it never feels forced. I mean we have, Hairra turning into what is basically a super-heroine this ep, golem mechs, political coups, doubles, leopard-gods, little girl gods, swordsmen, assassins, comedy...and it all works. This anime is really impressing me so far. |
