| I watched this for thicc bois. I got thicc bois. MC should be Ozeki, he the thicc-est boi in this series with a cute upturned nose. Redhead MC has moments when he looks chunky and thicc. Some of the characters in the ED song look too thin to be sumo wrestlers. They need more ass and thigh. I read that some sumo wrestlers in the late 19th century were thin and muscular so I guess they're going to follow that route. But I want my thicc bois. I want a series where everyone is fat and thicc. Imagine your mama apologizing to you because she didn't give you the thicc and tall body of your dreams. |

| This is my first experience witnessing sumo. I have never seen it in real life nor had any interest in searching for it on YouTube, but I decided to give the sumo anime a chance. The first episode made me feel a bit awkward and embarrassed to see them wearing the mawashi (a traditional Japanese loincloth), and I couldn't help but laugh because I had never seen anime characters dressed like that before haha. It followed the typical sports anime pattern where the main character is incredibly skilled, but when they want to join a club, there are either no members or not enough, leading to the club's potential disbandment. From there, they embark on a journey to recruit new members and become champions. By the way, I really adore the opening and ending songs; they are catchy and hype to listen to. |
