| im a 20 something guy and the only CGDCT show I like is Love Lab. I have no problem with genre's main appeal of "watching a bunch of young teenaged girls and their every lives", but often these type of shows frame their characters in a creepy sexual manner and try it pass it off as "cute", which is more trashy and pander-y than anything else. For fans of this genre, how do you reconcile its fetishistic lens of high school girls with the "paternal" feelings it invokes that many consider to be the "real" appeal of the genre? |
