| I'm quite happy at the character developments this anime has shown us for the side characters. There are more interactions so far than the ones I've seen in games, and longer Eric scene! I feel sad for his sister, knowing he died leaving no impression in the players' hearts because he was only on screen for a few seconds before getting eaten by ogretail, A FREAKIN OGRETAIL. Still, he gets more screentime in the anime, and his death was more dramatised and felt more important. Now I can face his sister once more, I'll take Erina out on a mission sometimes. |

| He was a pretty cool looking character at least ... though he still died almost immediately. He also died in such a stupid way, it was a little irritating even though the show didn't really tell you much about him by the time he dies - I just didn't like how he survived the battle but had to do one of those "jump in front of the bullet" type scenes because in this case it was very... very out of place. In fact... it didn't make much sense at all - by all rights, him jumping in front of a monster that size should have just gotten them both killed... no? lol... well, I thought it was a pretty nonsensical death... |
