Same here I do the exact same thing and maybe I'll download the entire season if really really like it.

I torrent it because I value my eyes and streaming causes macular cancer. If you have poor vision or sub-par visual processing in your brain, I suppose streaming is sufficient, but for most people with normal vision, streaming is unacceptable.

Not to mention I like to archive everything so I can re-watch it whenever I want without wasting bandwidth re-streaming, and I can burn DVDs and share it with friends more readily.

I think Media Player Classic probably wins Easy to use. And Can play almost All the Anime File Types. Which is Great I Love Media PLayer Classic for watching Anime Especially. Listening to Music with it takes some getting used to though.

Belink.

VLC, I watch anime on a few different computers, with different OS, and I'd hate to junk them all up with codecs and stuff so VLC is a great stand alone player that dosent require you to download a bunch of codec packs for everything. Plus it runs really smooth on some of the older computers that cant handle media well.

Yeah, I use GOM too. It's really flexable with pretty much everything, any format. It's awesome. :3

Well, It's probably because I'm just too stupid to work the settings properly, but soft subs show up crappily in VLC for me. If there's more than one line of text, they'll all overlap and it doesn't load any specific fonts. Just some ugly large, plain font. Everything works fine in MPC though...soo yeah, I just go with that.

Okey, will try MPC if I'll get trouble with that, thanks for the heads up anyway.

Yeah, 'cos there's so many .flv anime releases.

MPC is still the best choice, I said it before and most of you got it so I'm happy. :D

Used to use VLC but it kept crashing from some subs, and at times it was just messed up. VLC is baaaad ._..

GOM Player is the best, been using it for 2 years I think.

Though .mkv's for me on GOM Player isn't the best, it tends to skip some out. That's why I use Zoom Player for .mkv's

and WMP for my DVD's

Zoomplayer, because I thought VLC was horrid (and didn't want to mess around installing the cccp). Zoomplayers subtitles do seem to be rather large though, and I haven't worked out if theres way to 'fix' that yet.

'bugging out' your sound? Have you tried configuring its sound options at all? The defaults won't necessarily work flawlessly on every system, that's why the option to change stuff is there.

On my crappy desktop, I usually watch my AVI files using Real Player, and VLC if my crappy monitor can't show me dark scenes. Otherwise, I use ZoomPlayer for any h.264 releases that can somehow play on my computer.

When on my sister's laptop, it's primarily MPC, since I make it an effort to watch any high-quality files on there now.

MPC is win. VLC is still there for flash files and if I want screenshots of x264 encoded episodes.
