Discounting choreography, tactics, etc. from fights and focusing solely on the raw animation, I decided to look up the current top 15 highest scored fighting sakuga on sakugabooru to see what their favorites are. Here they are: 1. Kekkai Sensen (Episode 1) 2. One Punch Man (Episode 12) 3. Mob Psycho 100 (Episode 8) 4. Concrete Revolutio (Episode 3) 5. Go! Princess Precure (Episode 1) 6. One Punch Man (Episode 1) 7. Neon Genesis Evangelion (Episode 25) 8. Sword of the Stranger (Climax Fight) 9. One Punch Man (Episode 5) 10. Sousei no Onmyouji (Second Opening) 11. | Inb4 locked because listing thread Sword of the Stranger, any time there was action it it, it was glorious. Kara no Kyoukai/Fate Series by Ufotable, any real action scene. Hajime no Ippo matches, specifically Takamura vs Hawk and Ippo vs Sawamura Hunter x Hunter, All of them. Surprised people are mentioning Gintama. Those fights are good not because of animation, but more because of the context. Hell, the animation brings it down in certain cases. |

| As for the animation quality and effects, Fate/Zero and UBW reside on the top for me. However, the best over all fights are usually those in Gintama. |
| 95% of the answers in this thread are objectively wrong, and the rest is debatable but I pick Mob Psycho 100 because, goddammit it looks amazing and had some of the best animators involved. |

| In my opinion, End of Evangelion has some of the best animation, especially in the fight scenes. When it comes to 3DCG Berserk: Ougon Jidai-hen III - Kourin tops everything else. |

| Naruto Part 1 and Shippuuden have the highest volume of well-animated and well-choreographed fights in an anime that I've seen. HxH 1999, Mob Psycho, FMAB, Samurai Champloo and OPM have some crazy action animation too.(And RWBY, but thats technically not anime, and all the fights have been shit after S3.) |

| Apart from what has been said, I would add Re:Creators, most of the fights are nicely animated. Some action sequences from Aldnoah Zero are also nice, made by the same studio btw. |

| AoT S1 fight scenes were quite incredible and OPM ending episode as a whole was top tier. Also Gintama movie 2 has some great fight scenes as well. |

It's an incredibly interesting cut in addition to being superbly animated thanks to the camera usage. Shingo Fujii really needs more exposure. On the flipside, I'm very happy to see the Soul Eater cut finally make its way into the top 20. Although I've never watched Soul Eater, that is easily one of my favorite animation cuts in the whole medium. The choreography is fantastic in addition to being incredibly well animated. It's one of Nakmura's best for sure. |
