| They are kind of a rare species: The serious, seemingly unyielding, determined and sometimes a little bit indifferent heroines/characters. Mostly looking somewhat plain yet remarkable. Even harem shows, while featuring many of the weirdest girls ever, usually dont include this "not so funny" type that often. Not often = there may be quite a few of them, but they get so ridiculesly little screen time and plot attention, that it feels way more like teasing. Also theres a distinction between "serious" and "savage". With Angelise (Cross Ange), Revy (Black Lagoon) and Yoko (Gurren Lagann) obviously on the savage side. Meaning they dont match what I am searching for. Im looking for Anime preferably, but feel free to recommend manga as well. Here are some examples for multiple reasons (maybe someone else likes it as well. Or to make sure you recommend something I havent seen. Or you dont really get what Im talking about. Also I felt like linking some pictures just cause. :D) Spoilers only contain spoiler-free pictures, so feel free to check them, if you dont remember the names or just wanna take a peak. Iwami Sara (Fuuka) Touma (White Album 2) Takako Chino (Orange) Probably the best example btw Asuka and Kousaka (Hibike Euphonium) Quin, Chiyuki and Nona (Death Parade) Shizuka Hiratsuka (SNAFU) Ibara Naruse (Coppelion) Mora Chester (Rokka no Yuusha) Havoc (Darker than Black) Shiina (Angel Beats) Nana Osaki (Nana) Madoka Moritaka (Ibitsu) //and the Sundome heroine as well, pretty similar for obvious reasons ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Borderliners and partial matches: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure about Mei Misaki (Another) since shes quite the exotic one. Also Aoba (Cross Game) fits most of the criteria, while she is sometimes very very very very tomboyish. Another "not sure": Utaha from Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata since shes tsundere AF Rin (Mnemosyne) since shes way too much on the indifferent side. |

Drama, shoujo-ai. Tokaku Azuma (Akuma no Riddle) I would have thought Yukino herself from SNAFU as what you are driving at so I dunno now about my understanding of exactly what you're looking for.
