For the last movie of this series, this was actually a pretty fun and good closure!

All in all a happy ending, which was quite nice to see!

Well in general this sure was a nice end for the franchise as a whole!

FINALLY, movie that bears the light-hearted comedy spirit of the TV\OVAs. You know, when you watched the 195 episodes of sitcom and all of a sudden in the movies you find some unexpectedly serious matter and forced to watch kawaisone Lum's sufferings instead of a bit silly but still funny jokes about Ataru and co weird adventures – that’s just doesn’t feel right.

In terms of entertainment this is the most enjoyable film of the series - not that I don't like comparatively mind-twisting atmosphere of Beautiful Dreamer (for example) – but, well, when I started watching series’ films, I'm actually presumed that most of it will be more comical.

Honestly I didn't expect much from the movie, but I was pleasantly surprised by amount of fun and good laugh that it brought to me. Personally I think that this is the best UY movie.

IMO this was decent. It didn't really feel like a movie, just a longer version of an Urusei Yatsura episode. I like that Lum acknowledges that it was her mistake to use the love potion, which caused Ataru to become a lovesick puppy for the wrong woman. I'm just glad they fixed everything and that Lupica and Rio( Tofu-boy)are together and Tomobiki is back at being chaotic as usual :)

pretty good movie, totally fitted the craziness of the series. Also nice to see most characters making a cameo.

Umn...what the hell did they do to Lum's face? Looks like a totally different two horned green haired oni woman in a tiger stripe bikini.

Yeah, it seemed like a long version of an episode, but not a bad episode. It's the last I had left to watch of Urusei Yatsura, not a bad place to leave off.

I don't get the "feels" for Ataru/Lum as a couple much, but I did here.

Again different artstyle, this time only Lum looks really off. I'd say her appearance in the final episodes of the series is the best. Not sure why they made her look different in the two films.
Anyways this movie feels more like an extra long OVA than anything. Lupica felt like a repetition of Princess Kurama somewhat. I'd say Only You is a better movie than this (Always My Darling has some cliches) but it's not so bad. But Final Chapter is definitely the better ending of the series. Kinda sad to see Darling's character development from the last movie being reduced to becoming a dog here. (Ik character development isn't permanent in UY).
I liked how they showed the hypocrisy of the cast near the end.

It’s an ok movie overall but wish it wasn't the last one. You can still enjoy it but pretend it’s a special taking place before the 5th movie.

Very dry and unspiring movie. Even has the worst art out of all movies and the sound quality is also lacking. Felt like watching long OVA than a movie. This mark the end of my UY journey, but I will rewatch some random UY episodes from time to time I guess.

Bad. Why, WHY do they keep choosing to not focus on the UY cast and instead random filler characters. It boggles my mind. They have a treasure chest of characters but make up the same character over and over, AGAIN another princess who wants Aturu. I would have taken a 2 hour movie about Cherry just having tea with kotastu neko than any othese movies. The charm of the series evaporates in movie form.

While I agree on the "yet another new external female character" trope, Lupica does NOT want Ataru. Just using him to obtain the otherwise-impossible-to-get love potion.

At long last, I’m here at the end of the Urusei Yatsura movies with the 6th and final movie, and also the last 90s entry of which there weren’t many. And despite it not feeling quite as final as the 5th movie this was a lot of fun, a damn good movie to be the last one, I think it especially helps this one felt so much like the anime in how lighthearted and funny it was, this was more like the show than any of the movies so far honestly which is what someone else in this thread said which I really agree with, it’s kinda funny too because despite Movie 5 being an adaptation of Manga chapters, this was the one that felt more like the anime lol.

This movie had a lot to offer too, first you have the new art style which I do really like, as well as the animation, not a bad look for the series at all. And of course we have another beautiful babe of a space waifu with Lupica, another peak Urusei Yatsura waifu design, she was a lot of fun too with her constant bazooka shooting and screams lol, she may have been annoyed more by Ataru than any of the ones before her too. And giving how this movie was for the 10th anniversary, you had lots of cameos from past characters which was cool to see, it was like an Easter egg hunt within the movie. And I didn’t see anyone else mention this but this movie had a lot of parts reminiscent of the Indiana Jones films, specifically during the temple scene with Ataru revealing a hidden path and the floor collapsing upon getting the love potion followed immediately by Lupica’s betrayal, another aspect from Indiana Jones lol. And this one is a bit of a stretch, but later in the movie when Ataru locks Lum in a truck as it drives away was also reminiscent of a scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark, if you couldn’t tell I love Indiana Jones lol.

And I really enjoyed the plot to this one, Lupica and Rio’s story was nice although predictable, but that was part of why I loved the Love Potion plot because this silly princess didn’t realize she didn’t need it, and the one who actually used it, being Lum, ended up messing things up with Ataru. And by the end it’s kinda funny that it seems like we came full circle with Lum being happy to see Ataru being back to his lecherous self, that part did seem kinda final but of course it wasn’t as great as movie 5’s ending. And I want to mention that I liked that Mendou’s army wasn’t just a meme in this one, but a crucial part of Lupica’s defeat, Mendou’s final tank shot was especially great. And lastly, that ending credits theme was a banger for sure, none of them have missed.

And now that I’m here at the end of all the movies, based on memory I think my ranking goes something like 2, 5, 1, 6, 3, and 4, I think this is slightly different from my post on movie 5 lol but really I do love all the movies, I honestly hate ranking them at all, but 2 is certainly my favorite of them all. And man I’m honestly sad there’s no more movies, I got one last OVA to go but no movies, they were all a very fun ride.

Ataru will forever remain undeserving of Lum. She is the best girl ever.
If you are going to disagree with me, don't bother talking to me. I will seriously hurt you!
