| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- When they say becoming rich changes you, they weren't joking. With the exception of Sibip, who wanted nothing to do with money, Toppy, Rana and Giraffe were completely changed people, and their newfound wealth was taking a toll on their relationships. It took a dire situation for Rana, who last had a hold of that diamond, to realize that the lives of his friends meant more than living rich. It wasn't easy for him, with 7 children and initially struggling to make ends meat. But in the end, he did the right thing. The diamond may be destroyed, but their relationships have been repaired, and despite being poor again, they have each other, which is the most important thing. |

| It's really interesting to see how money corrupted Rana, Giraffe and even Toppy which is usually the moral compass but Sibip really is the heart of the group. Sure maybe it's because he has no major responsibilities other than caring for his friends but that's the best kind of crew-mate you'd want. In the end it was Rana making the hard decision that ultimately saved them, not only from death but just how corrupt they became. Pretty damn interesting arc, it's really not like the others as it mostly took place on Earth this time focusing only on themselves and their family with no new character. |
