| They're fine and can be fitting for the story. I admit i do prefer them in certain genres, but overall they can be good. |

| After a while of anime-watching, it's become kind of annoying because these characters tend to carry little meaning and depth. It's like the writer wants to write a morally-upright main character but they themselves don't give much thought to the morals so the protagonist's stuck spouting cliché lines. Anyone can say the things they say so there's no actual connection. Even then, I do tend to like the type of character because I like positive and cheerful people to begin with. I don't hate them. |
| They can be nice and brighten up my mood. On the other hand, I don't like overly polite characters such as the MC of Flying Witch |
| I've never given them much thought but I guess that what I like about them is that they brighten up the mood and set a happier atmosphere in serveral ocassions. |
