| Lmao another cliffhanger. One thing I’ll commend in this anime is they surely know how to make their viewers interested at the last moment. Again I was not hooked in the entire episode but the last part makes me interested agin. Damn! Every time I am thinking to drop this anime things are getting interesting. |

| VICTORY!! after one more episode that won't be the case tho... We have a visitor, enter Wilhelm van Astrea and Felix Argyle. "Given the circumstances, I'll try not to do anything dumb." Hmmmm... 'try' We're finally back at the capital! Appa guy is back. We also meet Julius Juukulius(or Euclius), and Subaru is jealous lol. Conference Mirrors - A metia that allows one to talk with another person through a mirror, basically it's video chat. We're reuniting with old and meeting a lot of new characters this episode, the 3 Thugs are back, as well as Old Man Rom, and also an introduction to Priscilla Barielle, one of the Royal Selection candidates and also her knight, Al. Ah oh no, Subaru is in the castle now, this isn't good... Reunion with Reinhard! This episode got some juicy worldbuilding, but not as much as it should have, too bad that starting this episdode till the rest of Season 1 will be quite rushed and a lot of world and chracter building will got cut. The discussion of the candidates are heating up lol. And then we end with the Felt reveal of being the final candidate. |

| its nice to see Subaru really wanting to go with Emilia to support her in the royal selection. hopefully Julius isn't serious about stealing Emilia from Subaru, but I have a feeling that Barielle is up to no good and shouldn't get the throne. can't believe he took advantage of Subaru, and it didn't help that Emilia saw him with Barielle, even though he was only transported to the castle. Interesting arc so far, especially with the twist at the end... |
| felt a candidate for the position of queen??? can't say i ever expected that. this episode was a bit slower than most but i still really enjoyed it cause there's some good worldbuilding going on |

| Feels like half of all the characters introduced so far just conveniently materialised in that one alleyway in an indiscriminate order, followed by Subaru being whisked off to the castle for the royal selection with the illustrious title of "apple servant". For someone with no apparent status or importance in the world he was transported to, it somehow still revolves around him, because he's getting roped into plot events he isn't overly relevant to through somewhat contrived means. Subaru himself definitely wears his heart on his sleeve. The video game references were shelved for a while, but now they've returned in full force, with Subaru bringing them up completely unfiltered in every other conversation. Emilia's exasperation with him and his roaming habits gives off the impression of a mother lightly scolding her hyperactive kid for not staying where they're supposed to wait. |
