| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Hmm no threads are showing up on the main page. They did a surprisingly good job with the edit considering. Though they excised all the sex scenes to a degree that it can barely be called "erotic" horror anymore (the Demon Womb film on the other hand~...). Otherwise my only real gripe was how they re-edited the fight with Suikakujyu - in the film's timeframe it actually goes on for hours during the kidnapping subplot, and then ends abruptly. You hardly notice though... The dub isn't too bad either. ps Kitty Media's DVD is region-free and looks pretty good (apart from the times when the animation was changed to avoid showing anything graphic). ****edit: watching it again (again, again again) it holds up really well as a film. All I'm really missing are Megumi's rampant demon-fucking on the school roof and Niki's [awesome] humiliation orgy in OVA 2. Kitty Media's recent DVD is probably the best we're ever going to to get of it (until someone else comes along... extremely unlikely for the time being...). Very vibrant colours and basically a really good self-contained story all-in-all (*much* far better than the /beyond butchered/ old Manga UK version which can go fuck itself). Audio's a bit out of sync though. Really wish Kitty hadn't abandoned their full OVA release, go pester them ^_^ |

| Way too much was cut in this movie compared to the original OVA's. The only good thing that was removed were 20min of openings, end credits and recaps. Unless you only want to watch the gory plot without the H material, I would advise you to watch the original uncut OVA's. |
