Is it wrong to dislike one of the most favored characters in the series?

Izaya is a worm with few other qualities to make him a worthwhile anything for me, that is why his standing is so low. With a backstory that seems to have no proper rooting for insanity, besides the apparent fact that one day he snapped and began tormenting those around him, he lacks the subtlety and the suaveness from my perspective that fangirls seem to think he possesses so much of. All I see is a dude who isn't particularly physically or personally attractive as the rest of the cast with a backstory that somehow explains everything and nothing. He is a man of littler motivation than describable, not even of minimal, but nonexistent reasoning. Why Narita made him the way he made him continually is something I ponder over because I wonder how he can make a character that so many obsequiously bow to while he's not outstandingly great? He crosses two fine lines for me, the line that translates indifference to boredom, and the line that translates agitation to undying hatred. This guy is irritatingly there, affects the story in the first arc greatly, and yet everything he does either emits a sigh or urges me to ball my fist and puncture my screen. Frustrating. Orihara is frustrating. I think secondarily, like Shizuo, except I can tolerate Shizuo, the only reason i am bothered by what Shizuo does is because I can relate to it on a personal level, and anything Orihara has that could possibly redeem him, which by the by, is not much... happens to be squandered for me also (besides his being meh meh) by fangirls and their aforementioned devotion, a disgustingly sappy festival of estrogen sizzling in a tightly pressed room, where they wet their panties at the selling of new merchandise that'll undeniably feature the dastardly duo of Izaya and Shizuo, neither of which top my favorites list- while I cower in my corner of Nasujima hipsterdom encased beneath a barrier of clear plastic. They'll swarm any denier of Izaya's clearly deplorable actions, and even those who do accept him for his horridness and acknowledge it to be deplorable will still go about screaming how they do not want him to perish. A fair margin of Izaya fangirls embody all that is wrong with yaoi fangirls, and fangirls in general alike. Their obsessions exceed "nuisance", they become pathetic shrines to how stupidly affected these chicks are by hormonal imbalance.
