The relationship between Ange and Hilda was decent and it flow well throughout the whole series. They started off as hostile towards each other, then mutual respect, then friends who want take down the world together. Ange and Hilda's relationship felt more real than other anime characters. I like this ship better.

I know this is an old post, but Cross Ange is unironically one of my favourite anime (so much I have played Super Robot Wars V over 30 times because the story and characters heavily involved the Cross Ange story and characters lol) and I think the show would have been so much better without Tusk the boring slice of unbuttered white bread and Ange should have ended up with Hilda.

Though the way I tended to interrupt the ending is that she ended up a polygamous relationship with both of them of some level, though this might be my head cannon at work, but I’ll say it again Tusk is a boring character and the show would be so much better without him lol
