Do you guys know any good stuff that takes place in a fictional world? I'm a bit tired of everything being set in Japan and I'm seeking inspiration because I'm trying to create my own story and universe.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Akame ga Kill but I sure loved the universe so anything similar would be good. Thank you!

My favorite quotes from animes:

who try to make miracles happen. - Ef a tale of melodies.
I destroy worlds. I create worlds. - Code geass

Try "Soul Eater".
"Tiger & bunny" was rather nice too and wasn't set in Japan.

-Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka is set in a fictional RPG-like city and features, well, dungeons.
-Gosick is set in pseudo medieval Europe, in a fictional country.
-Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita is post-apocalyptic earth. Can't remember if it's in Japan or not.
-Zero no Tsukaima is set in a magic school somewhere Europe-ish.

Trinity Seven might count, too. It's another world/dimension/whatever.
