| Not completely up to date since I'm basing off data from 12+ days ago. Weighted average 1. Shounen 2. Drama 3. Mystery 4. Seinen 5. Psychological ... 38. Yuri 39. Ecchi 40. Game 41. Kids 42. Hentai Average: 1. Thriller 2. Psychological 3. Military 4. Police 5. Mystery ... 38. Game 39. Hentaii 40. Yuri 41. Kids 42. Shounen Ai I believe the weighted rankings put a bit too much emphasis/weight in favor of hours invested, at least for me given how many shows I've watched and considering I don't narrow my focus on shows to certain tags. A couple of years ago, it was more accurate. Now, it isn't particularly reliable when some of the shows get adapted have commonly used tags for most of the seasonal shows I happen to watch i.e. Shounen. Average ratings is more accurate for me in reflecting what I enjoy. Between Thriller and Shounen on an average scale, it's a 1.04 difference just on average yet weighted would put Shounen first simply on the big discrepancy on hours, but it's because there are only very few shows that are tagged as Thriller compared to shows tagged as Shounen. And thriller has been by far my favorite genre, so there's no question that it should at least make top 5 on weighted. Plus average has 3 of what I thought is my top 5 genres. Weighted average also put ecchi bottom 5 which I don't agree with vs average. Not surprised Yuri, Hentai, Kids are in both. Yuri is essentially tagged with hentai and there are a lot of low quality shows. |

| It's partly correct only, because a genre could become my favorite once I rate a particular franchise with high scores. Favorite genre: Adventure I agree with this one, but it becomes my favorite because I rated Jojo with high scores. Least favorite genre: Romance It's because I rated School Days with low score lol actually I don't hate some wholesome and high quality romance. By the way Shoujo Ai is ranked low in my list, but it's one of my favorite genres in contrast. |

| MALGraph is the same as animeplus, right? The site was just renamed, or am I wrong? According to animeplus, my favorite genre is supernatural. I typically prefer sci-fi actually, but my high scores for every JoJo season and Yozakura Quartet explains why supernatural is number one (and shounen is number 2) The lowest is (aside from genres not on my list at all eg. hentai) ecchi. Not surprising, and entirely accurate. When I say "lowest" I MEAN "lowest"! 1.4 mean score, lol |

Mecha doesn't really interest me and is kind of a turn off and I've disliked the few mecha anime I've seen, but I haven't watched much mecha anime, so I feel like it's not fair to declare it as my least favorite genre until I watch more. |

| Well, if we go by at least 5 favorites, using weighted score, then: 1. Mystery (one of my favorites, sure) 2. Military (can't define as favorite, but I can definitely enjoy it) 3. Fantasy (one of my favorites) 4. Mecha (same as Military, can't define as favorite, but I can definitely enjoy it) 5. Thriller (one of my favorites) And 5 least favorite: 33. Magic (not true at all!) 34. Ecchi (I haven't really watched any, it rated this one based on Gantz, but I don't think I'd enjoy ecchi) 35. Shounen Ai (a blatant lie, but BL anime is mostly bad, what can I do) 36. Comedy (true, I hate stupid comedies, for the most part) 37. Shounen (it's mostly in the last place because of battle shounens, but I'm inclined to agree, it's the genre that disappoints me the most, in general) I guess "halfway there" would be the most correct answer? |

| I'm not sure what my weighted score means but according to that Fave: Drama and Psychological sort of accurate, though Drama being my favorite is kind of cheating since half of the titles listed under it are like secondarily or tertiarily dramas and are not really what you think about being listed under Drama (Megalobox, Cowboy Bebop, Haikyuu, Made in Abyss, etc.) Least Fave: Seinen, Ecchi, Harem, Comedy, Slice of Life Seinen, Ecchi, and Comedy are a bit inaccurate since its one of those genres where every random thing is under it Comedy and Slice of Life are also a genre I don't mind it's just that a lot of the mediocre shows I watch tend to be those genres (I would rather watch a mid SoL than a mid battle shonen) Harem is true though |

| I don't think that genre scores are quite accurate. The reason being sub-genres. It shows half my list (or more) under one genre even though I know for a fact that I've not watched that many shows of that particular genre. Let's take comedy as an example, everything from DBZ and Bleach to Kuroko no Basket and Ahiru no Sora is apparently comedy. For the sake of the topic tho, my favorites (by weighted score) on MalGraph are Shonen and Superpower (surprisingly accurate), and the least favorites are Ecchi, Fantasy, Harem and Romance. This least fav part is true for Ecchi and Harem, but I really enjoy fantasy, and have been getting into romance recently as well, so it's off there. |
