My Opinion only
First of all, we all know that censoring sometimes ruins an anime. However for this show I feel like it's censoring is done brilliantly. there is no holy light, black shadows or stupid pic covering the area. instead the censoring is done in a way that work with the anime. either top short of showing the nipple when undressing or removing the nipple (like with Suu and Zombina), works with the anime. I think other studio should follow this example and do censoring properly like this.

that not to say they should stop airing uncensored stuff, cause you know, we're all perverts for this shows. lol

It's just fine if on TV. (It's like a tradition to boost sales)

well, I meant for tv as well. if they didn't make uncensored BD they would lose millions.

Of Yen.
How much is Yen vs U.S. Dollars again? $0.0083?

It's a lot more tasteful than light beams, steam or weird graphics at least, that's for sure

Censoring sucks, but like others have said, better than light beams and steam.

For Monster Musume, I'd say so. Yes, censoring done right. I know the way they did it was having convenient censoring (Example: like when our MC Kimihito hand blocking nude body or Long hair blocking nipples) & screen-cropping certain scenes.

It probably costs more to animate those non blu-ray scenes, I guarantee there will be a blu-ray version with full nudity.

But lazy censorship is actually a good marketing tactic, it pisses off fans but is likely effective at selling BDs.

studio-level censoring is a "play safe" trick.
despite of that, they did a good job on this.

i've seen screenshots of the proposed BD version. and you're right. it's more on blocking the part (with hands, hair, etc), intense steam, missing anatomy, or a disappointing zoom-in and out.

In the episode where Suu is introduced, and 'Darling' (Does he EVER have a name??) is pinned to the ground by glorious centitties, you /do/ see her nipples. So, they are censoring it and not having to add anything for the DVD release ^_^

Glad they missed that one.
