I'm gonna come in and recommend Joe's Garage by Zappa. It's pretty quirky music but it's what got me into Zappa, so I have to mention it :p

I love Christine

"If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will put some things behind, will pass an invisible boundary; In proportion as he simplifies his life, the laws of the universe will appear less complex, and solitude will not be solitude, nor poverty poverty, nor weakness weakness." - Henry David Thoreau

Love me some Prog. So far my favorites include the ususal suspects of Tool, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, Yes, Mastodon and Rush, the only one more niche being Agalloch.

Very nice. Love some of that atmosphere and build-up.

Since we're at it, guess I can take the opportunity to post this personal Prog masterpiece:

Have some RPI.

My favorite prog rock band is definitely Rush, but I dig all the big names, big props to the user who posted Relayer. I think Camel's "Lady Fantasy" may be my favorite prog rock track.
