That World War II flashback had me laughing for a while. Nippon stronk, destroying the whole fleet with few blasts.

The episode was pretty fun, this time most of the conflict was handled hand to hand instead of using Mazinger. Well, except for the last 2min that needed to fill the mecha action quota, so we had Mazinger brutally murder the mechabeast in a onesided fight.

"Your sight, my delight. Will you marry me?"

Well this episode was interesting, not much mecha action until towards the end ofc but everything else was physical human combat and had to use their brains for once to do something. And you got to see a lot more of Baron's mooks and him/her being a lot more active and commanding the soldiers which I quite liked.

The reference to the Gustav Cannon of the Germans was clear, however I enjoyed the narration due to many factors: even Baron Ashura and his subjects had to cope in the first part, rampaging on the mountain as a common mortal and the same do Koji and his friends. This time, who and the rest, were more responsive in facing the enemy, finally implementing a strategy worthy of Baron Ashura's strategy. For the first time I saw Baron Ashura burned and full of wounds, wow! Combat between mecha was once more stupid, Koji proved to be even safer, succeeding in destroying the enemy robot without suffering too much damage. Interestingly, I saw Sayaka not once in "work clothes" but dressed like a girl dressed in fashion in the seventies.

Man, notstalgia hit me. This is the one of the episodes that I vaguely remember when I was a kid. Seeing sayaka in something other than her mecha/work suit is great and I also liked that this time they sneaked in and executed their plan without mazinger z until the last 2 minutes. Every episode they use a new strategy, so it's never boring.
