| After reading all of the comments here about the female MC's voice, I listened carefully and found it is okay. Yes, clearly the director has made some kind of stylistic choice about the character and told the voice actress to play it that way. I can 100% understand that a lot of people might not like the way it sounds. From looking at the description of Rinko Yamato's character on the official website for the series, I think that Rinko's voice really should sound that way. If you dislike listening to Rinko's voice, you might not like her personality either. In any case, I don't believe that there is any issue with voice actress Megumi Han lacking talent. It runs in her blood. Her mom is also a voice actress with an extremely impressive list of roles she has played during her long career. She is still working, in fact. Her family name "Han" (潘) is not Japanese since her ancestors originally came from Taiwan. In Taiwan, 潘 is a fairly common family name and it is pronounced "Pan". |
