| What's the point of updating the opening's animation other than to promote Road Warrior and the 2009 Starter Deck, I mean? Seems like a waste of money. Anyway, Demak versus Rua should've been the main focus of this episode instead of cutting over to Ruka's subplot half the time, which I really don't like. I think that the whole Ancient Fairy Dragon subplot was way too stretched out and shouldn't have been so complex. |
| Leo's monsters really haven't aged well. Between the flip phone and MP3 player monsters, it radiates early 2000s tech in spite of the futuristic sci-fi setting. |
| Leo is still fighting against Devack, and gets some good damage in with his trusty Power Tool Dragon, but Devack brings out his dark tuner monster and brings out Zeman the Ape King. Spirts are being sealed away by a monkey army loyal to Zeman in the spirit world while Luna and Turunka (a young dark magician like duel spirit) escape and set off to find Zeman in hopes of rescuing Ancient Fairy Dragon. |
