Hmm... it looks like this was one of the threads that was deleted. Hope no one minds me starting it again. =)

Just finished watching Ping Pong Club and Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu.

I rather liked watching Ping Pong Club, the cast of characters are rather wacky and rather novel. However, the animation is much to be desired and the humour, while funny, is a little base and twisted for me. In the end, I gave this series a seven.

As for Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu, I found it rather difficult to grade this series without having the previous two series influencing it. Like it's predecessors it is rather funny, but unlike them it is more light-hearted than the two that came before it. In any regards, the sudden change in focus is rather refreshing, in the end, I gave this series a nine.

I just finished Air as well yesterday and I wasn't busy, so I decided to marathon as much of Kanon 2006 as possible today. I ended up getting to episode 19.

Air had a good and touching storyline worthy of the 9 I gave it, but I find Kanon 2006 to be much better. The longer episode list makes the characters more developed, the mysteries surrounding all the characters makes it awesome, and I must say I have enjoyed all the girl's story arcs so far, especially Mia's.

Yuiichi is such a pimp.

Just finished Ef - A Tale of Memories. 8/10 Definately loved the artwork on the backgrounds, exceedingly beautiful. AN I loved the style they took, normally see it in comedies like Pani Poni Dash or Negima?! now a days so I'm glad to see something quite serious done with it.

Also finished Night Wizard The ANIMATION 6/10 maybe less.....I took a major set of cliches like magic item searching, sealing a demon lord, the power of friendship etc....and did it again with good animation and decent music. So it's just another overly done genre.

This thread looks so empty now... o.o

Well I finished:

She and Her Cat by Makoto Shinkai - It's tough to describe it so I'll just say 7/10.
Kino's Journey: Tower Country - Finally found/managed to wach this. Made me remember once again how great the full series were. 8/10.
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind - Another of the so called Miyazaki masterpieces. Yet I was disapointed with this one after seeing some of his other works like Monoke Hime & Spirited Away. It was just not on the level of those two IMO, although it was still good. 7/10.

My Neighbor Totoro - Truly great film as expected from Ghibli. I really need to watch more. The little dustbunnies remind me a lot of the Mojos in Dennou Coil. Can't think why... 9/10

Just finished watching Air,it was by far the best anime series I,ve ever seen. And I'm also about to end Le portrait de petit Cosette, which is really masterpiece, especially the music.

Don't talk to me about character development if Kaizuka Inaho or Slaine Troyard are in your favorites.

Paranoia Agent. It started good, I found it very intriguing, but then was a little disappointed to see how things turned out. Still, a great anime. Worth an 8.

Oh well, the music being awesome is to be expected, considering it was composed by the goddess.. err, Yuki Kajiura =P

Sirius no Densetsu 8/10

It's like Romeo and Juliet with a Fantasia-like theme. Would've scored a bit higher if 1) it hadn't taken so long to get good and 2) it wasn't dubtitled. Seriously, was all anime from the 80s released here dubtitled or what? :(
You've come a long way, baby.

Just finished Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien.
Let's just say it's not top 4 on animenfo for nothing. It was just plain awesome. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the ending(although the "sayonara" near the end almost made me cry), it was great nonetheless. I think everyone should see that one. Easily 9/10(i would rate it slightly higher but MAL won't let me). Best romance i've seen in a long time, if not ever.

Karas, Before last week I had never head of this OVA and Dled it then finally watched it today. And HOLY CRAP the fights and animation were amazing!!! After the first ep i was in so much awe I marathoned the last 5 ep. My main complain is that this wasnt made into a full series.

For anyone who wants a quick watch and like awesome fights and animation. I suggest this 6ep OVA

Excellent Artwork and Excellent Music.
But, the other aspects of it didn't cut it for me. Not extremely enjoyable unfortunately.
A bit overrated I would say.

Heh, I had figured you'd like that one.

As for me:

Voices of a Distant Star was excellent. I only wish it was a bit longer. 8/10

I hadn't heard much about Starship Operators, but I'm glad I gave it a try. It was a solid watch, though nothing really outstanding. It did, however, put me in the mood for more space opera. 7/10.

I just finished Fate/Stay Night, and it was very good. <3 Tohsaka and I hated Shirou. I sort of wished there was more back story on the servants though, like who they were, their relation to Saber etc. But the animation, fights and music were awesome.

A solid 8/10 from me.

I like how it completely left the ending open for a second OVA.
And that they included Presea and Zelos at the end...

No it isnt =)

The last anime I finished was Jyu Oh Sei, definitely one of the best short series I have ever seen. Its packed full of action, and if the first episode bores you, it just gets better and better. It could have been longer, but it was still excellent, a solid 9/10 from me, and im a hard grader!

Piano no Mori, it was a very entertaining movie and it had great music. I recommend it to any fan of the piano, though there was a lot of repetition of pieces (but that is to be expected when practice and competitions are shown). 8/10

Finished the first season of Genshiken last night.

I loved the manga to death, and even though the anime was pretty similar to it, I found the anime so. Freakin'. Boring. And unfunny. Dunno why I found it that way...but I just couldn't get into it at all.

Watched Evangelion Death & Rebirth last night. Better than I expected. I'd give it an 8.5 considering what it was. Rounded to a 9 here, I guess, even though seems a tad high. Maybe I'll lower it...maybe not.

Though judging from what I had heard prior, I get the idea that a lot of people must've turned the movie off during the first set of credits, and missed the 17 minutes of new footage. That's kind of funny.

Also, the main menu on the DVD was cool. I enjoyed it quite a bit, even if it was just a short loop.

Also known as Monster in a box, but I hate that handle...and it doesn't fit here.

Just finished watching Shigurui and I quite enjoyed it. The series was a little darker, bloodier and gorier than I expected, but it was rather refreshing, after a fashion. There is a plethora of samurai anime out there that are rather bloodless, so having all that gore is rather "authentic/realistic" in a roundabout manner. In any case, I gave this series an eight!
