What's everyone anticipating this coming Friday? Other than Vince Staples and most likely Khaled, I don't have plenty to look forward, so recommendations/heads up would be appreciated.

Yeah Big Fish Theroy was pretty nice, the Khaled album was not that special tho, a couple nice songs yeah but nothing too crazy.

Yeah the new Dj Khaled album is pretty much the same as his previous 2, some really good songs, some mediocre ones and some really not needed or outplayed stuff.

Only good thing this time is that it has a lot of songs, like 20 plus, so even on repeat for quite some time it won't get boring.

Also he's dropping music videos like every couple of days for a new song, its crazy.

Not yet sadly. I don't have Tidal and I don't know how I feel about pirating it, though I may have to resort to it if it isn't available on other platforms soon. I've been seeing mixed reactions to it though.

True, I did not expect to like an "depression" inspired album that much, but it turned out to be a very solid album, I just wish there would be more/longer songs, 22 minutes including interlude and intro is a bit short...

You check out Clipping.? They had a pretty great album last year, Experimental Hip-Hop just like Death Grips... this is coming from a guy who mostly listens to Metal btw :p (there's still good Hip-Hop being made, just like with most music just gotta dig pass the surface)

Not to be the "Real Hip Hop" type of person but a lot of these new rappers coming up are fucking terrible, I usually try to give everyone the benefit the doubt and be at the very least open minded but nah some of these guys are clearly awful or are using Hip Hop as a way to get money. I feel at the moment the only good new things I see from Hip Hop are the rap groups, Injury Reserve, Brockhampton, Divine Council, Earthgang are all dope, But other than that this period of Hip Hop is very reminiscent of the ringtone era of 2005-2009 that I had to endure.

EDIT: Forgot about Griselda records, they have a lot of great artists on their label most notably Westside Gunn and Conway as well as other artists like Maxo Kream, Da$h, $Ha Hef, Retch.

In my opinion his last two albums were way better than the current one. It was truly a disappointing release. Many classic features from his last albums weren't included, Travis was forced into those hiphop-heavy newschool Khaled beats which don't fit Travis' style at all if you ever listened to his songs.
Grateful was way too hyped. All the promo through his son (who is cute tho) and in the end he didn't deliver the anticipated niveau. Also "To the Max" with Drake is apparantly not on the album (or only on the US release) which Khaled weighted most of his promo on (Did the Drake vocals come in yet?)
