Who would win a battle? Adult Gon vs Mereum?

I think Adult Gon would definitely win because Pitou said herself that Gon is at equal strength to the king. Also, the amount of damage Gon did to Pitou from just one kick flew her away whereas when Netero hit her it barely scratched her. This shows Gon is on another level then Netro and the king had trouble with Netero (the king wasn't really taking any damage but was having trouble countering his attacks). Plus, the king would not go all out which could cost him the fight against Gon as it did when he did not go all out against Netero. Lastly, Gon's determination would further increase his strength as it did throughout the anime and his fight against Pitou to make him a level far greater than Pitou.

I'll just point out that Pitou had no idea about post-rose Meruem and there is no way she could accurately guess something like that in the first place. She was working on assumptions which, in this case, was probably the best thing to do.

Merum probably 1 shots transformed adult Gon. (but who knows how strong Gon would have been as an actual adult with battle experience, smarts, new techniques,etc)

I can only see Specialists or talented non enhanment (probably not emmiters too but I am not too certain of what Emmiters are capable of) types with Kurapika style restrictions having a chance at beating Meruem and that is if they can catch him off guard or outsmart him and give him no chance to retaliate.
