Depends.

I stand by my beliefs. And in my terms, if I say something, it goes, and there's almost no way to change that.

However, if there was a situation where I could get something I wanted, and all I had to do was change one of my beliefs, I would change one that I'm on the fence about.

But let's say it was a belief about a "New World Order" and the "Illuminati". There's no solid proof behind it and I simply can't believe in it, which is one situation where absolutely nothing could change my belief in it. Exception: if you can provide me hard evidence, or convincing evidence that tells me that it does exist and I should worry about it, THEN I will believe you.
Just need to find out how to quote this every time so I can dodge the stupid 30-character limit.

Technically, Santa was a man who existed in the 4th century named "St. Nicholas" who gave gifts to children.

Funny how that happens to all of us. Read our precious book and it turns us away rather than bring us closer to the Lord.

I don't really have any beliefs that are so deeply held that I think they should always stay the same. Money would definitely help speed up the change.

its one of my beliefs that you cant be a "believer" anymore after reading the bible. At least not if you dont ignore the contradictions, the cruelty, and the nonsensical parts.

Crush that belief, crush it hard.

Good job pouring oil on the fire, there.

Anyway, my own belief is that you don't have to be tied to books written ages ago nor institutions in order to develop or straigthen the bond you formed with the God you believe in, if there is one. Putting those books back in their historical context and take into consideration the fact that they were not written by God itself is the least to be expected to a reader with basic intelligence.

I believe in love and compassion, empathy is what I think can help us go forward and find contentement as human beings; I don't think those beliefs of mine can ever be shaken.

Research, homework, discussions with people that I like and a lot of reading. I'm not just talking about my religious belief, I'm including everything else that I feel passionate about. I'm more inclined to change my beliefs when it's my own idea to make the change. Real change best comes from within and it's best to make sure that I have the tools which can help me reconsider my beliefs

I was always an atheist, but the Bible just made me laugh. It's funny how some religious people cherry pick what verses they do and don't want to follow. I suppose it makes sense though, since it'd be barbaric if everything in the Bible was followed. A personal favourite of mine is: "Then because of the dire straits to which you will be reduced when your enemy besieges you, you will eat your own children, the flesh of your sons and daughters whom the Lord has given you."

If it's something that I've just momentarily misunderstood (which happens surprisingly often): just small amount of time to realize that I'm wrong.

If it's something that I firmly believe in: Evidence. And possibly some time as well, depending from the matter.

This concisely describes my viewpoint as well. Perhaps the only "deeply held belief" that I have is that anything I believe to be true must be backed up by evidence and reasoned argument, and this one is unlikely to change. Opinions on matters for which the truth cannot be determined may have looser standards, but even in these cases, I rely on evidence and argument as much as possible.

Any belief of mine that contains an objective truth claim at its core is subject to change if convincing contrary evidence comes along - whether I like it or not. However, I have some strongly held beliefs related to questions that don't necessarily have a single right answer; political views often fall into this category. My political views have changed considerably over time, and the changes have generally been influenced by evidence and life experience. However, I can often see the point of the other side, so it does not make sense for me to consider my political viewpoint the only correct or valid one.
