^ Gunbuster/Gunbuster 2 You gave Furi Kuri a high rating, and Gunbuster 2 is just as awesome/crazy as it is, and it makes more emotional sense than when the first is seen.

TheWestExit - Congrats, you've got good taste. But you still need to watch Perfect Blue and Tokyo Godfathers because Satoshi Kon is just that awesome.

Wow, I have, my list sucks.

And you're all over the place, which is a good thing. I don't have a new recomendation, but I would fast-track Baccano! to the front of the line. It's short, it's quick and very good.

@iwatch2muchanime - Damn dude, what the hell. How am I supposed to give a recommendation with that list? Well I'll try. Check out Votoms. I doesn't look like you're that big of a mech fan, but it's still worth a go. It's not on your list and that's about as good of a recommendation you're gonna get from me.

I feel like going again, so I will. Kasumi, I saw a few romance titles on your list, so I'm gonna suggest the same thing I suggest to all romance fans: Karin. Check out the manga, too. Yea, I know I already mentioned it (I cheat). West, I saw several sci-fi anime on your list, so I'm gonna suggest Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I'll recommend Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann for you. It's by Gainax, who made FLCL and Evangelion, and it has over-the-top mecha action, which I'll assume you like.

TheWestExit: Since you gave Gurren Lagan a 10, I think you'd like GaoGaiGar and New Getter Robo, crazy Super Robot stuff with some comedy. And since you're watching Votoms, you'd probably like Metal Armor Dragonar (pretty hard to find though), similar mech styles (well the grunt mechs at least).

kasumisama: since you like Simoun, I think you should check out Sakura Wars, fancy dressed pretty girls in Mecha type wars

ichikiba: You gave Big O a 10, so I think you'd like Giant Robo (and the Giant Robo: Ginrei Special) and Turn A Gundam, both of them Steam Punk type mecha's (although Turn A doesn't have that great of Steam punk overtones). and of course Big O II.

iwatch2muchanime: How are you liking Hajime no Ippo?

UltraTien: We don't really see eye to eye on anime, so I might be waaay off, but... I'm guessing that you'd like GTO -- there isn't really anything soft and girly in it and I noticed your list doesn't really have anything soft and girly in it either. And if it's any comfort, GTO is a fan of Initial D too. ;) I don't know what aspects of Initial D you liked and which you didn't and what made you score the different stages the way you did, but if it was the actual racing aspect of it, maybe you'd like Capeta, even though it's younger than Initial D.

lowellagain: I've been planning too watch GTO ever since I saw the Live Action Drama series and movie last year actually, don't know if the anime while be being as good as I thought the Live action adaptation was. Now the ones I was going to recommend I see are already on your dropped or you seen them already, it took me some time to figure out, but I think you'll like Charge!! Otokojuku if you liked Cromartie Highschool, pretty much your crazy "delinquent" school for guys type anime, oh and you might like the Cromartie Highschool movie, its why I started watching the series. Oh and yeah I usually tend to stay away from the soft and girly shojo type genre, its not like I have a problem with them, I like a few, its just not my thing.

iwatch2muchanime: I don't even wanna know why you have 300+ series in your now watching. Well if you liked Gurren Lagann and Big O, check out GaoGaiGar, Giant Robo, Mazinkaiser, and New Getter Robo.

If you end up liking Hajime no Ippo, I'll have a bunch of sports anime recommendations for you. ;)

For the sake of recommending something now... I'm going to say Yakitate! Japan -- mostly because I'm proud of myself of coming up with an anime that isn't on your list and hasn't been recommended to you yet. ;) It's a silly, lighthearted competition anime (breadmaking) and the main character is a Gon-type optimistic, let's-all-be-friends simpleton. ...Actually, thinking about it... it's a lot like Hunter x Hunter, but with more comedy, brighter colors, campiness and set in a bakery. And no one cool as Hisoka. ;)

Edit: Ack! I forgot to put up a "I'm thinking" post! Whoops. I'm thinking for Splitter now!

Splitter: Hrm. We seem to have different tastes and stuff... but, I'll give it my best shot! (1) It's time to continue watching Nodame Cantabile -- even though it doesn't seem like you're so fond of romances, but the look into music might appeal to you if that's what you liked about Beck. (2) If you liked Beck more for the personality of Koyuki and his personal transformation during the series, you might actually like Ookiku Furikabutte (even though I haven't seen the end of the series subbed yet -- not by choice!). But the main character in Oofuri, Mihashi, is somewhat similar.

(3) Well, actually, OverDrive might be more similar to Beck than Oofuri, actually. Hrm. Okay, I'm still saying Oofuri, because I love it... but you might like OverDrive more -- it's cycling instead of playing guitar, but otherwise it's pretty similar to Beck: the main characters have similar personalities and journeys during the course of the show, there's a super talented, older male with a cute sister, a quieter classmate who comes in later...

...Huh, I never realized that similarity before.

Okay, for Splitter, I'm gonna say Gokusen. You might like it too, lowellagain, but I didn't check your list before I posted.

Edit: Okay, just checked the list, and since you don't seen eager to see the full Dragon Ball series, then I would suggest at least checking out Dragon Ball Movie 4, also known as The Path to Power. It's kind of like a summary of the first half of the series. The animation is fantastic, and it's pretty fun to watch.

Oh man this is a mess :D

Splitter: Your tastes span quite a bit but I noticed you take robot shows quite nicely, hence I'm recommending Macross Plus OVA

lowellagain: You seem to have very down to earth tastes, a eye for the realistic more than the fantastic. I recommend to you the Ghibli flick, Whisper of the Heart.

ichikiba: You haven't seen much, so perhaps you could try all-time favourites like Rahxephon or Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann for a robot action flick or Baccano! for something more down to earth. Anything works at this stage, really.

EDIT: And one more appears before I could hit the button!

iwatch2muchanime: Man it was hard finding something for you when you've already watched all but 10 of my completed list. But I do have something for you! Two excellent shows about gambling by the names Akagi and Kaiji which I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Honestly, I just guessed the number of episodes I saw. I actually remember seeing the preview of the last episode, so maybe I've seen the second to last or third to last. And, you obviously haven't seen my review of Inuyasha. I'd rather not sit through another episode. Well, maybe the one with those little monkeys.

Edit: I also wanna add that I usually hate mecha anime. Big O, Evangelion, Vandread, and Gundam Wing are rare exceptions. Speaking of which, since madeener's already seen two of those three, I suggest the third, Big O. Also, you've seen the Yu Yu Hakusho movie, so check out the anime.

Edit #2: I also wanna add that my opinion is based mostly on the Gundam series and other series that have some war in outer space, or war between earth and aliens, or war between poor people on earth and rich people in in space colonies, etc. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of seeing a kid in the cockpit of a giant robot, and seeing the same scene if every ****ing anime, where the kid sees someone die and goes nuts, killing half of the enemy army. I'm just sick of it.

Edit #3: Sorry about the rant.

You've probably never seen any U.C. Gundam then (Zeon vs Fedi stuff, no Wing or Seed crap here) usually a U.C. era Gundam series (with the exception of a few like 0083 and MS IGLOO) would focus more on the pilot rather than "Hey gaiz check out my rare Purple Heavy Arms as I blow everything up without taking a scratch".

Anyway since you like Gurren Lagann, Nadesico, and Vandread, I suggest you watch Layzner (I forget the full title), Godannar, Macross Zero, GaoGaiGar. and Brain Powerd. Also I have a feeling you might like Gundam 0080, yes you said you hate Gundam but theres very little mech focus, its more of a slice of life type mecha series, and its only 6 episodes long so its pretty short. Meh just saying

Splitter - Looks like you like a good bit of humor with your action, Oh! Edo Rocket, the most overlooked series of last year. One of the funniest series I've ever seen, grated that I don't watch comedy series because I hate the japnese style of comedy, but still, it's really funny. It's also god a good bit of action and also some romance too. Along with a great sound track and art direction mae it wonderful. If you don't like the first couple scenes of the first ep, drop it.

It's also based off of the play which the writer of Gurren Lagann wrote.

Edit: Oh yeah, I am about halfway through Elfen Lied, not seeing what all the hype is about. It's not very much of a horror sereis and the drama is bogged down in "Nyu, nyu" crap. It's just a sea of red when you compare it with Shigurui's medical knowlege of people's limbs.

Edit #2:With Eva, someone has to tell me excactly what to download and in which order to watch.

TheWestExit: Regarding Eva, the first thing would be the original TV series, consisting of 26 episodes. Death & Rebirth is after that, but as far as I've heard it's just a rehash of the story with some few original additions towards the end. A giant clip show. End of Evangelion is what you should finish off with. Rebuild of Evangelion is the latest thing that has come out, four movies that are supposed to retell the whole story. The first, and so far only, movie is pretty much only retouched scenes and retaken dialogues.

...I have no idea what to recommend. Perhaps Higurashi no Naku Koro ni? Or NHK ni Youkoso?

It's a little long... it's the tiniest bit slow, but it's so well done and it's so... compelling. I feel like my eyes get involuntarily glued to the screen while I'm watching the show because I get so sucked into what's going on. You liked Death Note well enough, and this is and isn't similar. It's in the same general genre, I guess -- suspense, drama. It's very good. And since you like Bartender so far, I don't think the slowness of the show will bother you very much (note: different from the slowness of Bleach/Naruto, if you get what I mean).

-Juuni Kokki - similar to seirei moribito in a way but in my opinion, alot better

-Marmalade Boy - a classic comedy romance that i guarentee you will love

-Gundam 8th MS Team - a quick and satisfying 12 episode standalone series, i usually dislike 12 ep series but this is an exception and is one of my favorites... even if u dont like gundam anime, im sure you'll find some enjoyment in this one as the style is a little different and little more straightforward
