| I'm considering watching Hayate no Gotoku because I heard that male lead is actually capable human being (unlike most rom coms/harems that I've seen). But alas there's Rie Kugimiya in the cast therefore a tsundere character is inevitable so I've got to take precautions before I (possibly) waste my time 1. How capable is the MC? 1a. Is he pathetic like majority of male leads in other shounen harems (that I've seen)? 2. How violent and bitchy is the tsundere? 2a. Are there enough dere moments to outweigh her bitchiness? 3. Would you recommend watching this show? Thank you |

| 1. He is just dense, but capable of almost everything. 2. Not really that violent, violence is almost not there iirc. From what I remember she's not a bitch, but she's a rich ojou-sama, so she could be quite spoiled sometimes. 3. Yes. |

| 1. He's capable in the sense that he has extraordinary 'ability'. ( He's not capable in the sense of controlling the rampaging wiles of the supporting cast. 1a. Depending on your definition of pathetic, but it's predominantly a comedy show before a proper rom-com. 2. If I recall, not especially violent, but a normal 'bitchy' as the 'rich girl' stereotype goes, (again according to dodgy standards). 2a. I think so. 3. Yes. Addendum: Nagi is no way near as bad as whoever Rie was in Hidan no Aria, and there's a fairly large cast in Hayate, so the focus is spread out some more. |

| Thanks for replies. I guess I'll give it a shot. Nowadays the word Tsundere gives me flashbacks to ZnT and Love Hina so I'm very cautious |
