| Not a bad start. A little quick, but overall good. This did a really good job setting up the world of Cyberpunk, a dystopian hellhole of death, sex, drugs, and poverty. It also did a great job establishing how cruel and uncaring this world is. David's Mom was a kind, caring, and decent person, and they treated her like complete trash simply because she didn't have a lot of money. The doctor handing David a tablet with funeral options while not giving a remote shit was brutal. Not to mention a cremation service that's like a vending machine. That was crushing to see. I like how they used the actual gun sound effects found in the game too, that's a nice touch. Never a fan of gratuitous gore, because it just comes off as obnoxious. Hopefully it isn't too prevalent in this. Looking forward to seeing more, as everyone seems to be hyping this up like crazy. But I have a feeling it won't be as amazing as many make it out to be. |

| This first episode was much better than I expected, and I already finished watcing the third episode, just wanted to comment on this, it felt really fucked up to see what happened to him, and I couldnt believe how everyone else was treating it, but also odd how he reacted, I was expecting him to go mad crazy way sooner, like right way, wtf... |

An emergency service that won't tend to you because you are not their customer (not so fun fact, some fire services used to be like that in the Victorian era). David's mother was an emergency responder herself, so that makes Katsuo's message about karma even more painful. |

| damn were they not kidding when they said it could affect photosensitive viewers; speaking from someone who has a history with epilepsy, the first few scenes were barely watchable for me with how much flashing lights there were asdkl but regardless, i really like the cyber vibes/aspects of such world and am kinda intrigued as to what it entails :D |

| Hey MC that have the same name as me... Holy Shit that beginning Action Scene was Insane. lmao the sex scene caught me off guard. also Ripperdoc was voice by Kenjiro Tsuda... One of my favorite Seiyuu. Damn what a tragic first episode.. Mom already gone.. Love the vibes already, this is really promising!! Studio Trigger doing it once again!! |

| As someone that knows nothing about the Cyberpunk franchise, this was one of the strongest first episodes I've ever seen. |

| Nothing better to hook you into the cyberpunk universe than an all-out cyberpsychotic battle of guts and blood in the first 5 minutes of the story before being introduced to the main character of this story. Even then, for this particular day, David's life got pretty messy real quick, from getting caught in the cross-fire, a car crash that caused his mom's death, with no money and no family members left alive and even no social friends to rely on, he's all alone. If it wasn't for the sandevistan that his mom snatched from that crazy ass dude at the start of the episode, I'm pretty sure David would've committed a school shooting of some kind back in the Arasaka Academy. This is America I'll always watch subs, but for Edgerunner, imma pass that. I'll watch this in English DUB. Liking the vibe of the show a lot so far... |
