I remember this show was super hyped about 2 years ago, but I never had a chance to watch it, even when I finally had some free time. I like to wait until a show is finished too. Now I see why it was so hyped. The manga must be good, and the plot is really interesting. I never thought a sports anime, especially about soccer, could be so creatively written. The last soccer anime I watched was Inazuma Eleven (which I loved as a kid because of the superpowers), and my top picks are Captain Tsubasa, Days, and Aoashi. Now, Blue Lock is my new favorite. The plot is intense, and I'm really curious about how it will develop, especially with Isagi’s character.

Different type of sports anime. Ego, an emotion, seems to be the main factor in this anime. Isagi aims to be the best striker. Let’s see how he changes.

nice first ep id say and DAMN Ego is CRAAAAAZY.
that connie wannabe should have gone first, id like kira to stay but what Isagi said made sense, itd be easy to beat connie in the future but maybe not the same can be said about kira
btw, loved kunigami already

I did not have high expectations because I knew it was a sports anime, and I figured there is a very limited number of ways this could be done. But I was thoroughly impressed! I already have some characters that I am excited to see their evolution over the episodes. I'm super hyped actually!

the animation is a lot better than i was led to believe
the dub kinda cracks me up in some places tho (it starts to sound like a parady fandub)
