FUCK! This is my favourite series ever now.

THIS EPISODE. THIS EPISODE.
- Okabe saying straight up to Suzuha that he doesn't give a shit about the 5.7 billion people dying, he just wants to save Kurisu = d'awww in a weird way to me
- Okabe's reaction to seeing Kurisu again = d'awww :'( "I... You..."
- Okabe stabbing Kurisu by accident = me actually tearing up. Her father is an ASS
- Suzuha lookin FINE
- Mayuri's bitchslap! Fierce.
- MAD SCIENTIST IS BACK! HELL YEAH MOTHERFUCKER!
- Okabe from the future completely understanding his past self and vice versa = MORE HELL YEAH MOTHERFUCKER. Steins;Gate meaning absolutely nothing, hahahaha.
- HE'S GONNA SAVE KURISU! HE'S DETERMINED! YESSSS! Finally, some extreme optimism! Oh god. Get that happy ending you deserve with her, Okabe!

Fuck. This show, this show, this show.

Can't wait to see the last episode next week.

Also don't forget about the special episode that's coming out in the last volume of the DVD/BD on February.

Mayushi... she slapped him... Mayushi did, woah. I guess it's a Mayushi-Slap.

Anyway, I now finally get why Mayushi kept on dying, and that's because the lines tend to one another through that field they kept mentioning. I should have noticed before. Seems like the series will be neatly resolved, which is good in a way, to be honest I was always in favour of an end where Kurisu and Mayushi are alive (I wonder whether they'll kill Okarin this time :p). The solution to the problem is one that I have thought of before (though not in response to this program), and I think it is a pretty good explanation. I don't know how much this diverged from the Visual Novel, but I think this looks to be a pretty good anime original ending.

Mad scientist > The world.

One of the best - if not the best - episode of the year, that clearly brought epicness to another level with only mind games and witty lines but zero action. Fantastic.

Kurisu<3

OMG I can't believe i got to see her again, i was so happy. But then that happiness turn into hatred towards Kurisu's father.

That guy needs to fucking die, i mean seriously what kind of mentality is "a girl shouldn't be smarter than her father".
So, a girl who comes from an underprivileged family shouldn't try to better herself by studying cause then she will end up smarter than her dad.

Also it was really cute seeing Okabe meeting with Kurisu, he really loves her.

Wow
So there's a chance to save both Mayuri and Kurisu (and the world...but screw the world): Steins Gate...I thought trying to change to another world line would be kind of pushing it now...but no... everything fits, plus, "Steins Gate" is like...an utopia o.o ?!

What really impressed me was Okabe's (future Okabe) idea of changing world lines without changing the past...it's insane! It makes sense! (in this fictional world ofc)
And how everything that happened was necessary to get to that point...I would say that reading steiner "creates" the path between the world lines, I mean it figuratively, but with some sense, because Okabe passed through all that he is as he is now...that's why failing once in Kurisu's rescue was needed, so that we had that future Okabe.

Kurisu's dad ...what a jerk. Never thought it was him, nor that he was such a jerk...o.o But I hate him more for having stolen Mayuri's Metal Upa :p
And Okabe ended up killing her...poor guy, that's just too much...I couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel at that point...utill the Operation Skuld was revealed and my eyes started to shine as never before *_* (btw what the heck is Skuld? o.o)

Funny, how all of Okabe's gibberish comes to have a meaning...well, sort of... :D
It was so cooooool xD, no but seriously, that moment when future Okabe and present Okabe said "It doesn't really mean anything" in unison...it sent chills down my spine...

Mayuri can be useful! She slaps him. There. Great moment. Tuturuuu~

Great episode ending..." I am the mad scientist, Hououin Kyouma. Deceiving the world is nothing to me!" *epic mad scientist laugh- UAHAHAHAHAHAHA*

I had to go back to my analysis/prediction back on http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=316976&show=80#msg11400297 to compare.

I think I was on the right track, the key point being that everything is cyclical and all of the previous changes to the world lines are necessary to reach a singular key who outcome has the greatest potential impact. The Future Okabe laid it out that:

In my analysis, I made a big point of explaining my viewpoint on timeline prime, the original timeline (unaltered by the actions of the future) where Makise obviously lives and later betrays Okabe. I think with this episode, we can probably presume that:

Also I had predicted that Suzuha from the future would try to kill Makise, and that Okabe from the future would try to stop her. That was like a quarter correct. Though I did mention that I suddenly had a better prediction than that, but that was so late at night and long enough ago I don't quite remember what it was. I think it did involve:

And now the only questions I have left, besides the final conclusion, are :

1) How exactly did that very first D-mail prevent Kurisu's death? I'm not very hopeful this will be answered.

2) Why did Beta Line Suzuha travel to the 1970's and then the year 2000 before meeting Okabe in 2010? I'm guessing she had to make sure the IBN computer was procured, and maybe she had to play the role of John Titor. (Big difference here in that she would be choosing to travel time to play certain roles with her bi-directional machine, while that previous Suzuha's may have played the role of John Titor as a consequence or by-product of traveling to the past for a different specific purpose, and then being stuck there.) John Titor is important because it seems that Okabe has always had enough interest in this persona to warrant attending a conference on time travel.

Oh my god!! Another powerful episode...

Nakabachi being Kurisu's father, i had a feeling this was true for a while.

Its weird seeing current Okabe almost seeing his episode 1 self. Remember the first episode, Kurisu says "what were you trying to tell me earlier?" That was future Okabe! The scream Mayuri and Okabe heard? FUTURE F*KING OKABE!

Mayushii slap was definitely unexpected and good she finally steps up.

OH F-ING GOD!!!
This anime... can anything actually top the epicness of this?! It was so emotional and SO MANY things became clear! The meaning of the whole first episode - FINALLY HERE. By the way, I KNEW IT, I FUCKING KNEW IT, the metal Upa was important to the story! And the video message was SOOO EPIC!
I cried so damn hard when Okarin stabbed her and my eyes were exactly like O.O(felt like they're gonna pop out)! Oh, and finally getting to know who Kurisu's father is... Gosh, this episode has SO many epic moments that I cannot even begin to count and explain them.
The final episode is gonna get into dictionaries as a defention of AWESOME!
By the way... please, I want the original ending for the final episode... for the second time they change the song, and although both songs are really cool, I truly ADORE the original ending(too long name to remember the whole thing), really gets the epicness of the whole anime in just 3 minutes.
Oh, one final thing, "It doesn't really mean anything" - GOD, I've never expected such an ordinary line to sound so awesome and to become something important to the series.
El Psy Congroo.

I just got my surround sound working yesterday, so the words "It doesn't really mean anything" came at me in close field surround sound. Okabe from all directions! It was crazy awesome. More awesome than it should've been.

For me this was episode 24a with a big cliffhanger for ep 24b, more like a "prepare" episode for the final.
But anyway, this ep was for me still almost a masterpiece (9/10) and i cannot wait for next tuesday :D

There's a saying in anime. "Its always darkest before the good ending shines" or something like that.
Having to witness Okabe stabbing Kurisu and thinking we are once again stuck in the inescapable death loop was really troublesome and made this episode bleak.
But Okabe's future self message changes all that giving life to a hopeless world and insatiable want to see the final episode (even tho its sad the anime is ending)
Also its nice to see Amane Suzuha again even if I like her old hairstyle more.

wow that was an amazing episode as per usual, somehow it just clicked in my mind when they went back that okabe would be the one to stab Kurisu and that the scream belonged to him +_+ still quite blown at the death scene though and the fact that the stupid prof turned out to be her dad @_@
all in all even the tiny bit of effects like the change in future okabe's voice all the way to the ED change were brilliant fits the mood perfectly

Excuse my language but... HOLY SHIT! This episode... mother of god, it is the best to date.

For Okabe to find out that he actually killed Kurisu is tragic and heartbreaking for him. And yet, his mad scientist self kicks that depression out the window and he's ready to change the world, Hououin Kyouma style!

I'm sad to see the series go but at the same time, I can't wait for the last episode. Steins;Gate has to be one of the best anime of 2011 for sure. No other anime has got me so at the edge than Steins;Gate. I'm so buying the anime when Funimation releases it.
