| Consider myself fooled. I honestly didn't think for a second that Moriya and Keisuke hooking up for marriage was actually all fake, but they put on a convincing enough act to make sure that Takae would finally move on in peace. The farewell dream that Keisuke had of Takae did hit the feels as well. =( Same goes for when the special version of the ED song played while it showed Mai and Renji's wedding. While it was a shame that he did ultimately turn her down, Moriya still remains a very good friend and was present at the wedding, along with Chika and Marika, who now has fully regained control over her body. It also felt fitting that Keisuke would take up fishing as a new hobby and he does look rather good at it, too. Overall, this was a mostly positive experience watching this show weekly. The main drawback for me was the rushed pacing, which is very evident in most episodes, but as a whole, the characters were engaging and enjoyable and most of the drama was handled well. The ED song still remains one of my favourites for this season. 7/10 |

Are we ignoring the last frame? It is clearly setting up a second season, Takae has reincarnated as a fish and Keisuke caught her.

| Man, they really stuck the landing in the end here. Mai-chan took a while to be convinced which was slightly infuriating but the parents did keep it from her and then suddenly dumped it on her so I can see where she was coming from but that doesn't change the fact that it got to me a little, lol. Takae-san making one last appearance in front of Keisuke-san made it a lot nicer for the heart and to move on as viewers too, I must admit. I'm sure the final montage would've gotten me bawling otherwise. Loved the subtle implications too, like Keisuke-san getting into his cooking phase with the failed attempt compared to the perfect form in the end and the "summer" referencing to a year from the events. It would've been special if she could've stuck around a little longer to see Mai-san's wedding too, but of course that's not justifiable considering it's at the expense of the Shiraishi's. Speaking of that, it was sweet to see some encouragement from Takae-san to Shiraishi-san about her parenthood, I'm sure she must have known best if the atonement was sufficient or not, or at least I'd like to think so that way. I could sense that the whole Moriya-san thing had something off about it and I'm kind of glad it turned out to be that. Great if Keisuke-san was genuinely into her too but we never got that and quickly jumped the gun into marriage talks, so it would've left a bad taste had it gone with this. Renji-san and Mai-san's was a little fast too but there's no denying that there was something in essence that differentiated the two. Not going to lie, this show really put myself and the two roommates of mine that I was watching with into proper thinking shoes and got us veering off into all sorts, xD. If it didn't get the conclusion right, I'm sure it would've left a gaping hole but now that it ended well and in some ways, managed to outdo my expectations especially with the development of Keisuke-san, I've to go with a generous 8/10 with this, more like a solid 7.5/10 actually. Oh, and another thing. Definitely going to miss the Op! It didn't really fit in with last episode's cliffhanger following right after but, in general, it was right up there for me from the handful we got this season. ED in the last couple of mins this episode got the teary eyed treatment too. |

| If someone told me an anime about a pre-schooler wife is actually good, I'd be calling the police. Initially, I thought it was going to a generic story, but I was surprised with how this show dealt with grief and acceptance. The ending itself is pretty good due to it explaining the bigger picture, Moriya and Keisuke proposal being fake is definitely a better ending. It was actually pretty clever that Keisuke's approach was to trick Takae, knowing full well she'd only come back to repossess Marika if he couldn't truly move on, furthermore they both wanted to give Chika her daughter back. This ending gives more justification to why Takae disappeared and returned in the latter half, explaining how the possession works and why it happens. Yuuki Aoi hits it out of the park with her voice acting. I really liked Keisuke fishing ending as it shows moving on shouldn't just be as simple as marrying someone else to fill in the void (Moriya), but to cherish the good memories you did have. 8/10 |

There are people who go on to live happy and productive lives staying single. It's all about having the fortitude and faith to move forward, appreciating being with family and friends. I was rooting for Moriya as well, but who knows. Maybe down the road, they would develop romantic feelings. Like I said... who knows. It's an open ending for them. |

| I don’t have much to say because I truly loved this series so much. <3 Honestly, it made me feel like Take-san became someone very special in my life. <3 Everything about it was so beautiful, and these moments with the series were truly heartwarming. <3 I wish I could keep watching their adventures, but it seems this is the end😭 Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to watch this series with you <3  |

| I think they could’ve found a better way to make Takae feel ready to move on, aside from Keisuke getting a rushed marriage, but it’s fine. I enjoyed this series much more than I expected, and I hope everyone else did too. |
| The first third of this episode was really good, but when Keisuke said that he lied about the fact that he really wanted to marry Moriya, I really got pissed! And I can’t believe that Takae actually approved of it, via his dreams. I mean, I get what she were saying, in general, makes sense, because in general Keisuke made the strides that he needed to make in order to move on once Takae passes on, but to lie to your late wife about getting married, which was her idea by the way (getting married that is, after she died, via episode 1), was not at all the right way to do it! If I were Takae, I would repossess Marika’s body, cuss them out, chew them out and say that I’m not passing on for real until he gets married for real! And it wasn’t just that, the whole rest of the episode was very messy! I mean that last scene made sense, considering the fact it was the last scene, but everything from Keisuke lying to the last scene or two, really didn’t make much sense at all! Really messy ending, which is disappointing, considering the fact of how much I like the series! |

| I'm glad this is how this anime ended. Firstly, I'm glad Keisuke and Moriya didn't get married. If they had, it would've been really quick and the motivations would not have been clear. A marriage should be made from love. Seconly, I'm glad it didn't go in a weird direction. I'm glad that they tried not to cheat death, and in the end accepted that Takae had to go. Instead, it was a story that tried to tackle death and grief and moving on. It didn't always do so in the best way but in the end it was decent. It was more enjoyable than I had expected. |

So in the end Keisuke stayed a happy, lonely widower in his 40's who mooches off of his daughter and all is well with the family. Leave it to the Japanese to revel in the idea of someone becoming a devout widower, despite having more than half his life ahead of him, only one adult child and a cute girl trying to date him, and all that in the face of a population crisis. They should be doing everything in their power to encourage people remarrying when one spouse dies lol.
Jokes aside, the entire ending felt rushed and a little bit like a cop out. Takae gets MAJORLY deceived, goes happily cloud-surfing, then comes back, sees her husband ended up alone after all, and is like "yup, everything's fine. That's what I wanted. Takae is a criminal who stole the identity of a little girl and was eventually murderered by her love rival. Thats how i view this episode. Takae had no right to possess Marika. Moriya had no right to do a fake marriage scheme to get Takae to go away forever. These are sinful people we are talking about. Thou shall not kill. Thou shall not steal.

Did you actually watch the anime bc that's a crazy ass interpretation? Marika was put into a horrible situation and dealt with a lot of abuse thanks to her mom. Marika did not want to go back home and be treated horribly by her mom. Marika truly feared her mom. She repeated over and over again that she didn't want to go and that is why Takae possessed her. How does that make Takae a criminal? |

What a terrible ending. They gaslighted takae and lied so she would pass on. Why write that instead of actually having Keisuke move on or at the very least show that he can be self-sufficient on his own? Takae leaving cause of the lie just leaves a terrible taste

| Kinda wild that he took Moriya to the same place Keisuke and Takae really connected. Everyone seems to be upset about the fact that Keisuke lied and deceived Takae, but in a way do y'all blame him? Takae has been wanting to leave Marika's body ever since Marika regained control and because Chika is suffering. The only way Takae would feel confident enough to leave would be if Keisuke's situation improved. What's even more wild is this wasn't Keisuke's idea to begin with, Moriya came up with the idea herself. So idk why everyone is upset with him 💀 people love selectively hearing what they wanna hear. Everyone ignored timestamp 10:23 With that being said, I'm disappointed Keisuke didn't remarry and reject Moriya. Yeah, it would've been super rushed and sort of forced, but its sad he ends up being alone since Mai is moving out now that she's married. On a positive note, Marika no longer has to deal with an abusive mother since Chika has changed! And now everyone is in a significantly better place, including Mai and Keisuke. 8/10 for me, I didn't really have any major gripes about the story. It was well written and I did get emotional at times. The only thing annoying me is this is listed as a comedy, when its literally the opposite. Now, will we get a second season where Takae takes revenge bc Keisuke lied about getting remarried? |

| i remember reading a few chapters of the manga and that's the main reason i watched the anime i surely was hoping that it was a reincarnation and not actually a ghost possession but oh well i liked almost everything, but her being a ghost, and specially the fake wedding thing was a little bad (i was hoping they would at least marry later, but at least they were seen happily eating together anyway, was a great anime, i was gonna give it a 9 but the fake wedding (and also for not showing the actual ending, i checked last chapter after someone said there was a little more) made me drop a point lol 8/10. thanks for the interesting 5/6 hours i spent today |

| Solid finale for the most part. Keisuke and Moriya's plan to deceive Takae by faking their marital arrangement was lame and the fact of Takae apparently now being able to watch Keisuke from the afterlife and not addressing the deception was even more lame. Rest of the episode was nice tho, especially the part with Chika reading Takae's letter to later reunite with her daughter. Overall, fairly good anime that started to get messy in the narrative department once it was revealed that Takae was possessing Marika's body. As a result, last third of the show was filled with forced melodrama, dumb miscommunication issues, unexplored side characters and a sense of pacing that felt notoriously faster due to the studio wanting to cram as many events as possible to reach this conclusion. As for the good aspects, I gotta say the drama during the first two thirds of the show was executed nicely and the whole exploration surrounding Chika's character and eventual redemption was easily the best this show could offer in terms of writing. Seriously, following her growth as character throughout the five-to-six episodes it lasted was truly fascinating as well as deeply emotional for me. 7/10 - Came here looking for controversy, ended up finding arguably one of 2024's surprises. |
