Never seen a source spoil one of its biggest reveal as much as Toei have. Another episode where the last 3 minutes make up for it; drums were solid tho, hopefully next week delivers with gear5. Can already tell the OP fanbase is about to become even more obnoxious.

Also hard to say what's worse, CGI Kaido or the close up stills.

i really liked this episode.
It felt like a good set up for whats coming.
Although, I would've liked to see the other Straw Hats react to Luffy's death.
we saw Chopper and we saw Nami. And Nami's words were powerful themselves.
But I wished we saw even a close up of the other Straw Hats. Luffy is their captain too, I'm syre they sensed something was wrong.

But perhaps we'll see it in the next episode.
Overall, a great one that sets the tone and the hype.

I was excited to see how Luffy melts and goes G5 and I am happy how the ep went , but idk for some reason the tension and the hype would have been different if we didn't get that teaser for G5 while there was a break from the anime , just my opinion.

The remake of Berserk is a mistake.

Ngl the episode was underwhelming for large periods. I mean my mood atm definitely didn't help in me enjoying the episode. But yh it's good to see Nami's unwavering loyalty to Luffy and the part at the beginning with no dialogue, just showing all the straw hats.

The drums of liberation were nothing like I ever imagined. Anime onlies that have somehow managed to avoid spoilers, this is your reward!

Gosh damn, Luffy was defeated :"(, hearing heartbeat, a unique SFX I must say than the one you hear from Monet's heart beat on punk hazard. Surprised to hear a narrator announcing victory for a villain. Love the Sakura effects too. Without surprise Kaido is mad at CP0 for ruining his fight, and was going to kill him anyway, knowing how he killed the old lady from before who had interrupted his fight between Oden.

But of course it was too good to be true, from no-recaps, when we get a re-cap later on in this episode. The CGI Kaido's cape is the most unappealing, they re-used the same shot 3 times with still image crowds. And especially the fact that from last episode, they went out with the quality.

I love my clean and pure 100% hybrid free Yamato <3. Yamato clearly saved this episode

WOAH?! WHat is that DRUM at the end?! Why's Luffy all smokey? Why did his hair turn some kind of fluff?! WHAT?! Alright scratch everything I said about the quality, pretty much the last 3 minutes, Yamato's speech with Momonosuke, and the first few minutes of the episode were great.

Please stop nit-picking. It's not good for your health. This episode was an easy 5/5.
