I actually prefer the english adaptions to nearly every anime I've seen. @_@ I suppose that means I'm not a true anime fan or something.

I'd have to say that Hell Girl and Fullmetal Alchemist were the best dubbed ones...in fact I liked FMA dubbed better than the Japanese.
I also prefer Naruto in dub...(but of course, I like Shippuden in Japanese...I know, I'm weird.)

Ranma 1/2. The voices are perfect and sound almost the same as the japanese originals. Outlaw star is also done well.

I actually prefer both Fruits Basket and FullMetal Alchemist dubbed. There are exceptions [Tohru...] but overall I think the English cast was chosen better.

Full Metal Alchemist, Gantz (to an extent - Kei's voice = Excellent), Eureka Seven, Slayers, and Hellsing. Anything that features Crispin Freeman, Chris Patton, and Yuri Lowenthal will feature great voice acting for whatever character they are, however, them being in an anime does not guarantee good voice acting from everyone else.

Most importantly: Ghost Stories. I say this simply because I've heard the Japanese version sucks ten times worse (simply because of storytelling, not seiyuu); but with the dubb, there's just a lot of modern jokes about Tom Cruise and Christian Slater.

Shounen are simply not safe around me - latest pair: HijiGin (Yeah, Gintama).

His opinion happened to contain fatal amounts of fail, in the form of gross generalization. No gross generalization has ever been right, and none will ever be.

That's your opinion. If you don't like how I watch my anime, that's your problem bud.

Death to dubbing!
But if I had to choose I would say Cowboy Bebob was nicely dubbed. And also the dubbed Fullmetal Alchemist was alright. I guess ;)

Update: It is very unnecessary to dub the voices of characters that don't need it, ie Totoro.

Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell SAC. Also I just absolutely love the Gantz dub, Kei is awesome in that. It makes the show so funny. And Ghibli movies are normally done well since they've got Disney and big stars.

I think Cowboy Bebop was better dubbed. The voices just had so much more character to them, in my opinion.

There are a few series where I think the dub was really, really good...like Wolf's Rain, which I think was done so well; I could go with either the sub or the dub, I love them both. I think Gensomaden Saiyuki was a pretty good dub, even though the sub had amazing actors, too. I could go either way, I think.

I watched Gantz dubbed aswell. What I hate most about dubbed is that you recognize the voices too well. And I feel like Ive heard that main characters voice too many times...

anyway.. I LOVED Cowboy Bebop in dubbed. The voice-actors did an amazing job! I love Eds voice in it :)
She sounded childish, but not annoyingly~ sort of like Murusaki in Kurenai

Well you get the same thing with seiyu's. You can pin point Aya Hirano's voice out a lineup, and samething with Minori Chihara, Rie Kugamiya or any other super popular seiyu that gets over used. But that is also a double edged sword considering you like certian voice actors for their specific 'style' of voice as well.

Not many voice actors can fluctuate their voice very drastically, which is why they're usually type-casted to play certain roles (like Azuma Kazuma from Yakitate! Japan sounds 100% identical to Black Star from Soul Eater). Selective hearing also plays a part of spotting the same actors as well. Like if you REALLY dislike someones acting you'll remember how bad it was for anime A and then immediately hate that persons role in Anime B.

So its all pretty subjective to the viewer, in a nutshell.

I say YuYu Hakusho.

I cant even consider listening to the jappanese voices XD
just by of how Shu and Jin would sound without the irish and britisch accents.
evenrything was perfect about that dub. not a single voice misplaced.

However the Movie Poltergeist report totally Ruined it.
Justin Cook was the perfect Yusuke. the insults, the arrogance, the attitude.
Rik Nagel Needs an Assrape for what he did. to his charakter.

Cowboy Bebop.

Hands down.

wildebeest: Evangelion?! Are you kidding me? Shinji sounds like a 12 year-old GIRL! I tried it for 3 minutes and turned it to Japanese immediately.

Actually Shinji was played by a dude which is more than Japan can say in their dubs most of the time.

I like FMA, FMP, Cowboy Bebop, the basics, and I really like Trinity Blood's, which did not seserve the great dub it got.

To be honest on the whole I prefer dubs to subs except for certain anime.

Which english dub version of Yu Yu Hakusho are you talking about, the old one, or the new uncut one by FUNimation?

Off the top of my head, I rather liked the dubs for Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Lupin III (or at least Castle of Cagliostro), Hellsing (didn't like the show, but the voice acting was enjoyable), Irresponsable Captain Tylor, and of course Spirited Away. Of those, I haven't seen the subbed versions of Hellsing or Tylor, and the only dub that I actually preferred was Lupin, where after seeing the dub (as well as some of the series dubbed) I couldn't sit through the sub. That was a while ago though.

On the other hand, some of the dubs people have been saying are good I don't agree with, such as Slayers and Angelic Layer.

One reason I don't watch dubs much is that oftentimes one or more voices in the English version will annoy the heck out of me, and I have trouble sitting through that. For whatever reason, even though heaven knows Japanese women can be very high pitched, Japanese voices seem less likely to annoy me. I've also seen a couple French dubs, Castle in the Sky and Ie Naki Ko/Rémi Sans Famille and I like them quite well. In the latter case, the setting (France) helped quite a bit.

Maybe I just don't like English. =P

Anyone enjoy the dubbed versions of Lucky Star and Haruh no Yuutsu?

Voices for both shows were spot on with their characters. :) Actually enjoyed the voices more in the dubbed than the subbed since the voices were more dynamic than hearing Aya or Minori twice

I don't watch dubbed very often.
I should say Hellsing. The whole thing takes place in England so obviously the dub would be better than the Japanese version. (and I loved Alucard's accent ^^)
Code Geass is impressive too,and from what I've seen in episode 1 (so far)-Wolf's rain.
