| A few moments in Shiki made me feel a little tense but yeah anime are weak at making you feel scared. I think the reason they are weak in that department is the same reason they can be amusing as hell in other stuff. That is the lack of realism. No matter how you draw 2D can't look as realistic and that is why even the scariest stuff don't look as scary as if they where on a movie.
