what better way to fool a kid than tell it that its been lied to? its unfortunate that htey wont be skipping all that crap when they finaly do get to animate it.

since naruto doesnt stand a chance now...and sasuke wont be sparing him this time, i supspect some "new" character will have to drop in, and give naruto a brand new set of training sessions to make him even more "powerful".

or...hell just destroy the world...and the bad guys wins yey!

Really predictable chapter... BUT I don't get the logic in destroying Konoha. Sasuke's perspective: My brother was put through a lot of pain because he loved Konoha more than Uchiha and loved me more than Konoha. I'll destroy the thing that my brother suffered to protect, because surely if I take revenge on Konoha, either the city will be destroyed or I will. I think that's what my brother wanted.

Sorry for bashing this but I just feel really really disappointed in this series. It has COMPLETELY lost the mood and the pace it has in the first few arcs. The story is now so exaggerated that it's no longer interesting anymore. I mean, even I can make an "epic" tale with random plot twists but it will just suck. What makes the same plot twist really good or really bad is just a matter of how the author uses it. This time Kishimoto epically failed.

I REALLY don't know what to say to these comments... You HAVE to be joking, right? One of the best chapters so far and you find it BORING????????

I think I have something to say after all:
First of all, there's a reason the flashbacks were how they were. If they'd been made any shorter you'd miss most of the point of this chapter.
But when I think about it, all quoted, clearly missed the whole point of this chapter.

Second, Naruto has started to become a GOOD manga, compared to before. Amateurish my ass. The storyline in this chapter's got quality painted all over it and you call it amateur work..

Fourth, Sasuke's thinking of destroying Konoha. Why's he gonna destroy blahblah. Again, you missed the point. Clearly, you've never experienced hardship, and in lack of nicer words, you're dumbasses for even thinking he's an idiot. Try experiencing the same thing and see how you react.

Last point I'll make:
The chapter can be summed up in 3 points:
- "Oh crap. My brother really cared for me after all. Boohoo"
- "group renamed"
- "destroy konoha"

Yes, true. If you just wanna know what happened. Assholes. Go back to your stupid childrens' books and read about the dog chasing the red ball until you grow up more. Idiots. No, really. "Assholes", "Idiots" and "Ignorant Children" are the nicest words I can say to explain your views. No offence, just lacking nicer words.

lol i agree with animefan. that was a good chapter. i don't mind the flashbacks because we got tons of new info. anyways. onwards to trying to catch up with the series...

WHAT THE FLYING FUCK. Obviously this stupid fucker is now planning to kill konoha. is he NOT aware that is exactly what Madara wants. He fell right into the trap. EXACTLY what Itachi didn't want. He didn't want Sasuke to know becuase he would react the way he's acting now. No wonder Itachi wanted Sasuke to keep away from Madara and the truth. That's was Itachi's choice though to kill his clan and keep peace can't blame anyone there.

i hope the chapters get back on Naruto already I'm tired of seeing Sasuke's stupid face. He makes me so angrrryyy!

Also why does it seem to be that everyone here but me is overlooking the fact the fact Konoha created this whole situation to begin with. First they systematically discriminate against a group of people because of the actions of a few, till shocker they actually become the very things you were making them out to be. Then rather then acknowledge their mistakes they commit GENOCIDE And given that Genocide is a war CRIME the idea of comiting genocide to prevent a war just does not hold water with me. I'm sorry to go all gowin's law on you here but while there are differences the Nazi parallels are obivious as well.

That being said what Sasuke is planning would be now different the a Jew commiting Genocide on Germans.

All In all what I am trying to say is that while what Sasuke is planning on doing is clearly wrong there is a very REAL FOUNDATION for his actions. In other words Sasuke needs to forgive but NOT forget.

All in all nice job breaking it, Konoha.

1. Madara said to Sasuke that Itachi didn't wanted both to know each other.
2. Madara explained that all along Itachi wanted to protect Konoha and Sasuke, over all things.
________This is where shit gets weird.
3. Somehow Sasuke still let Madara manipulate him, even though he now knows that listening to him is dangerous, because of point 1.
4. Ends up wanting to go against everything his brother wanted or protected.

I feel a lot of the comments here (While old) come from misunderstanding. Itachi did nothing but shove hatred and revenge down Sasuke's throat since the Uchiha incident, and then he finds out that the Leaf were the ones who ordered Itachi, his own brother, to slay everyone in their entire clan, so his vengeance turned to them.

Also, let's assume he went back to the Leaf after beating Itachi, what then? He's still an Uchiha & with Itachi dead nothing is going to stop Danzo from killing him.

It sure is interesting to come here having just finished reading this chapter and look at posts from more than 10 years ago.
Some people found it a bit “random” that Sasuke chose the Taka (hawk) name to replace the Hebi (snake), but this is related to what Sasuke said to Orochimaru in their battle.
I think, since Sasuke got rid of the curse mark and Orochimaru, he isn’t bound to the snake on the ground anymore and can finally fly freely as a hawk. But maybe I’m reading too much into things.

Another funny thing is how frustrating this was for people who were reading this as it was being serialized, because of the pacing and use of flashbacks. But I’ve been following the daily chapters published on the Manga Plus app and the experience for me was much better.
It felt more natural. This reveal carried a lot of weight for Sasuke and we needed to see just how broken his mind is at this point, so that his decision of revenge doesn’t come off as plain stupid (even though it certainly isn’t the smartest choice to make).
