Maaaaan what's up with the soylent green vibe going on in this episode!!!?!?!!?

Also, as for the dogs it's so freaking true even in our current world. This anime is creepily amazing.

People that for vanity trash their bodies away, buy new ones from the disadvantaged and the poor (episode 3) and the fight for those 'resources' jesus. Technology and general advances that should be available for those in need but are only for the rich.

I'M SUPER DIGGING THIS.

Wait what!? I thought Warp was with the terrorists, now it seems it's the complete opposite!

I really loved the animation in this episode.. ..the initial part of the episode was so.. dope :) combined with the music ahhhh!! <3

Abipa is not a utopia afterall, and Warp's past seems to be like that of a hero ..touching episode, although at times I felt like I was missing something..

Patch, Quilt.. the names are so cute

Anyone know the seiyuu of the guy who picked up the main character and explained everything? It's bothering me. >.>

Hello from 13 years in the future. The guy who picks up Kaiba and takes him to the factory is voiced by the late Unshō Ishizuka. He's credited as "baby" (赤ん坊).

This whole episode was a patchwork of ironies. Patch preaching how this "utopia" takes everything for granted and yet fails to notice and appreciate Quilt caring for him and staying by his side his whole life.

"I always have everything I want beside me!"
Yeah, buddy. Where did you think all your meals, your work supplies, and that memory chip came from? :/

Not to pick on the subs but I kept hearing "Kilt" instead of "Quilt". But quilt makes more sense for a name for a cute little patchwork doggy.
A good author leaves the audience enough material to be satisfied with, yet yearning for more.

I liked Patch, he had some regard for nature/bodies and cared for people and dogs overall but eh he didn't seem to notice the ones near him.

Everything gets recycled in this universe, including the bodies. Can't say they're wasteful.

The scientist woman also aged backwards, somehow. She was an elderly woman at the end of the flashback, so did she transfer her memories to a body that looked exactly like her younger self?

She transferred her memory to a chip - Patch comes to his senses and puts that chip into a dog's body (that was made out of parts of other dogs), but he doesn't know or cares where it came from - in the present when the dog was injured (Quilt) Kaiba/Warp brings it to the rich guy - he makes new body (and Kaiba/Warp knows what she looked like, so thats not original, but a copy of her body) for the scientist lady and puts a chip taken from the dog's body into it.
