Grave of the Fireflies.
- Ending was a hugely impactful tearjerker.

K-on, I don't know how to say it without spoiling the ending but its like, i was so sad that it was over its such a good show. Best anime in my opinion.

There are quite a bit, I don't think I even remember them all if we include just shedding tears without actually crying. The most recent one is Kimi ni Todoke season 3 because Ryu and Chizuru's childhood story. In the past I cry easier - Naruto, Clannad After Story, Honey & Clover, Wolf Children, Bokura ga Ita, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0... Mostly I cried when it touches the topic of family, but sometimes also from romance.

I don't think I've watched any tearjearker since I've reunlocked the ability to cry, but before that Clannad was the only anime that miraculously managed to make me shed a tear

@Spast1c I got you brother. Although I didn't cry, I too was overwhelmed with the fact that the anime had ended as I completed it.

Violet Evergarden made me cry the most.

As for K-On, I found myself crying from ep12 of the first season for some reason.

The one and only anime that I have shed tears at was Assassination Classroom, you would get it if you watched it. The end of the anime made me a mess, it was so sad.

When great leaves fall, the winter is at hand;
When the sun sets, who doth not look for night?
Untimely storms make men expect a dearth."

I cry quite often when watching good anime tbh. One that never fails to get me is FLCL, even after the tenth rewatch. Kanti taking off like an angel while poor Mamimi tries to cling to sanity? I can definitely feel that hybrid rainbow.

There's many at this point so I'll share the first one.

Violet Evergarden. I didn't cry until I finished the 2020 movie, when it all came crashing down and broke me... her sad journey and all, and the payoff at the end.

Only 2 anime have made me cry; Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 and Chrono Crusade (which has the dubious honor of causing me to cry both times I watched it). I recently re-watched the latter and it made me bawl for like 40 minutes which is easily my record in any medium.

I wouldn't say I really outright cried, but there were some times where the Ninja's showed up and started chopping onions. One of these days Ninjas, one of these days! >_>:

I didn't cry much when watching anime. I think so far there're in total 3 times that I did so.

- Kakegurui Season 2 episode 10. The story is romantic and I shed a tear for the relationship development between Sayaka and Kirari.
- Shoujo Kakumei Utena's ending. As I watched the last episode I cried a lot, and this is the only time that I bawled instead of just shed tear to an anime.
- Jojo Part 6's ending. I already knew the ending and didn't cry when I first read the manga. But David Production did a great job on building up the atmosphere that the ending scene becomes even more emotional than that in the manga.

Dan da Dan, episode 7, To a Kinder World. This anime in the beginning was all over the place but in a good way, I was lmao every episode. Until episode 7, complete opposite of emotions for me…was truly a great episode!

A lot of shows.

And it's a good thing. Making me cry is a mark of a good show. It means I'm emotionally invested and the story has done something meaningful with that emotional immersion.

Naruto, Attack on Titan, Hunter x Hunter. Because these anime had a younger main cast of characters so when they cried it hit me in the feels.

None yet, but that's just because it's difficult for any fictional work to hit hard enough to actually illicit tears from me.

But the end of Hunter x Hunter's chimera ant arc came really damn close, twice, and the end of Cyberpunk Edgerunners almost got me as well.

the only anime that made me shed tears was Sayonara no Asa ni Yakusoku no Hana wo Kazarou, but the one that hit me hard was angel beats. and actually I am a person who avoids anime that provides a sad drama experience to cry so I have few anime references about this.
