That took forever because of Toei Animation, but yes Kid having a prosthetic arm is the perfect loophole to Hawkins ability. Gee, why did it take Killer so long to figure that out?

Kid is a beast for taking on damage from external sources and still carried on fighting a Yonko. Killer was pretty smart with what he did but it was a gamble had Hawkins stored it anywhere else he would have still lost an arm but been "immortal" non the less. According to Hawkins these guys are bound to win or the Navy will take over but Kaido and big mum are losing.

Killer is the real G, his bond with his captain Kid is one of a tight-knit kind. Brothers in arms would suit their description best.

The anime adapted this scene better than I expected, I remember how a considerable amount of people puts a blind eye to this, but it's honestly one of the few emotional moments that has nothing to do with Strawhats at all. On top of that, holy hell!! Killer severing Hawkin's arm was brutal, not only that we got to see and hear him scream in excruciating pain as the blood spurt out of what remains of his left arm. That was pretty nuts, not to mention all this progrtess in 1 ep, good shit man.

Kid is easily one of my favorite characters. Sadly, Oda didn't give him as many feats as others. Kinda nice from Toei to add an anime original clash between him and Big Mom, even when he was for most parts struggling with the damage caused by Hawkins.

Speaking of him, out of all the Supernovas introduced at Sabaody he's the biggest disappointment. Quite the opposite of Kid who would never think of backing down no matter how bad the odds are stacked against him.

"Go partner" This episode was cold af. Directing was right up my alley for a One Piece fight. W for Killer and even Hawkins managed to look somewhat cooler.

@FMmatron I think Kid's greatest moments are yet to come. You are right that he has been a big disappointment up to this point, but I think that's the point. Many dauntless rookies just like Kid have come to challenge the Yonko and have failed. If any old pirate could take them down, then they wouldn't be the Yonko. Case in point Gecko Moria. He got all the way to Wano only to be beaten so badly that he gave up on the dream of Pirate King and founded Thriller Bark instead.

I am interested to see Urouge. He had the lowest bounty of all Supernovas, but was the only one to make significant headway into Big Mom's territory by defeating Snack, one of her four Sweets Commanders.

That was a lowkey genius move by Killer, and he got the straw doll too! So crazy that the solution to the problem was so simple. Just attack Hawkins where Kid doesn't have an arm. Desperate gamble indeed. And the fact that he realized to do that in the heat of battle just goes to show how amazing his skills are and how priveleged Kid was to have found him.

Killer's loyalty is admirable. He's like Kid's Zoro. Very clever of him to cut off Hawkins' left arm, because Kid doesn't have a left arm. Hawkins is down, and with him another important head.

Killer definitely thinked ahead on this battle, neither i remembered that Kid did not have the Left Arm and that definitely was decisive for his survival here for real.
