Of course. Most TV shows are 10-20 episodes with 45-60 minute runtime, per season. Anime shouldn't be that difficult.

I find that more recent animes are doing 12-13 episodes per season, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, when I think about Fruit Baskets, (one of my favorites) , I found season 3 had the best story line however season 2 had double the episodes so it could expand on the story line more and therefore told the story better than the newer season.  I think most people could watch 24 or more episodes if they can find the time to.

For me personally no.  I lowkey struggle if an anime has 24 episodes or more.  Our attentions spans have diminished and especially if you have been watching anime for years. There are so many shows out now than ever before. I personally am busy with irl things as I have gotten older.  I will however watch old "critically acclaimed" shows like Monster and Hunter X Hunter eventually

Currently at episode 302 of bleach... So yes, people watch anime with more than 24 eps.. Imo it's just a way to save money by doing shorter series and invest high in 1 season of 24 eps than investing in a weekly series with shittier animation.

Well it's hard to finish some long running shows as i can't find all ep's.
But some how some randoms friends on MaL have finished it, but they can't say where they watch the whole show.
Mystery....

You watched 1916 episodes of a 1/10 tier show? Impressive ngl.

@ Sachyan

Just what happens when youre sick and have to much free time.
Was a rather horrible watch, they use CGI in literally everything and it's bad, really bad CGI.
Everything stands out in a bad way.

what a weird thread i mean why "fans of today" it's a person to person thing, AOT is legit one of the most (if not most atm) popular anime rn and its iver 70+ eps, naruto, hxh, gintama etc are all longs and there's a reason they are so popular !!
i wish you love

Ofc, most new anime fans start by waching super long series like one piece and naruto, and they somehow finish so fast.

Watching modern anime really affected me in my way of watching retro anime haha. Well that and obviously I don't have as much time as I used to when I was younger.

Absolutely not, every time I see an anime longer than 12 episodes I start sweating, shaking, and crying in fear.

Well I know plenty on my pals who binge series easily so yes people are still capable on watching 24 episode animes.

But for me personally, I'm watching anime around my school work and co-curricular activities so it takes me longer to watch 24 episodes and I tend to watch series with like 12 episodes first if I had to decide from a list.

Anime is not just a trend, it is a way of life. The number of new people searching for “best anime to watch” is a good indication of how many new people want to watch it and start getting into it.

From Naruto to One Piece, people can’t get enough of these long running Anime with around 100,000 estimated monthly google searches for the phrase “best anime to start with ,” it’s clear there are a lot of people who want to learn more about what’s out there.

The popularity of One Piece and AoT should answer your question

I wish they were at least 24 episodes. Some of the shows start to get good or the main plot is revealed around ep 10 and it ends on ep 12 with no season 2 since it wasn't popular enough. So, to your question, yes, I believe they can. One recent show that comes to mind is Summertime Render which had 25 episodes and was loved by those that watched it (unfortunately it was locked in Disney+).

I don't think they're even capable of watching a full episode of an anime. Short clips and recaps are more tempting nowadays..

not really in this day and age. especially going through something old like one piece or naruto that are simply not good going through now vs as a kid when you had more time to catch up and less judgmental on the visuals. There is going to be a ton of bias for stuff like one piece, naruto, yugioh, and pokemon cuz people grew up with them but their intial episodes just don't compare to stuff put out in the last decade and especially today.

look at lycoris recoil. That new anime outsold even demon slayer.

Also longer weekly animes have weaker production and often poor animation.

Heck even long running franchises

Idk about now tbh, I've been able to keep watching One Piece because I started a long time ago. Watching a more than 24 episode anime has been really hard. Beezlebub was really hard to sit thru.

Yeah, I'm rewatching Sailor Moon which has 46 episodes in the first season and 200 episodes overall.
The problem for me is when long running anime have long stretches of bland fillers, like Pokémon, Naruto, and One Piece.

Infinite Ryvius has 26 episodes, and I watched the entirety of it. Now if you ask me did it need 26 episodes? That's a different story.

It's much better to have more episodes than to wait for years and then no longer care about the next season.

Since I'm a retro anime fan by heart, watching episodes that are beyond 12-13 episodes long is not a problem for me since I've watched anime that are 50+ episodes long. I currently have couple of titles on my database that have long episodes. So I'm committed to watching it as long as I'm alive.
