As King launches his attack, Imperial Flame, to attempt to take Zoro out of the fight before he can fully recover, Marco pushes past his physical limits and neutralizes King’s attempt with his Undying Thistle! Marco then mentions how on top of the red wall lived a race of people who could ignite themselves. King the “Wildfire” is a survivor of said race.

As Zoro’s wrappings are coming off, Marco makes the decision to pull out of the fight and let the stars take over the show, the two arms of the Straw Hat Pirates, led by none other than Straw Hat Luffy, AKA The Fifth Emperor, AKA The Next King of the Pirates, the greatest and most badass fictional concept to ever become a conceivable human thought! Zoro jumps in and makes a flashy entrance, taking out Queen’s attack with just one sword. Queen tries to blast him, but Sanji and Zoro fly together and launch their own counter attack, with each of them having this vibrant glow. Zoro’s attack was Three-Sword Style Purgatory: Onigiri and Sanji’s was Diable Mouton Mallet.

Zoro and Sanji start bickering toward one another as per usual. The animosity is still funny to see. But… they do agree on one thing. If they win this battle, it’ll give them a glimpse of Luffy becoming the King of the Pirates! With that in mind, there’s NO chance of them losing this.

Some random tries to interfere in Zoro and Sanji’s fight, but Kawamatsu is quickly able to take care of them. On the other end of things, Hyogoro makes sure none of the samurai dare to interfere with the fight either, because he understands that neither Zoro nor Sanji are in the mood for such nonsense.

Marco thinks back to a conversation he had with Whitebeard about what was on top of the red wall long before Marijoa, the Land of the Gods? I’m curious what they may be… Izo then comes to save Marco, and Marco asks him about his belief in god.

Back to the main show!

Queen describes himself as Plague, King as Wildfire, and Jack as Drought. Together they are the Three Calamities that protect. I’m thinking “NO ONE CARES”.

The fighting commences and Sanji mentions that his body feels funny after using the Raid Suit a few times. King attacks Sanji, but Zoro is able to save him. Zoro tells Sanji that he owes him, but we all know that Sanji would never accept that, so he simply returns the favor and fends off Queen’s attack. Queen asks Sanji if his burning leg is a machine, and he claims that Sanji is lying about being fully human. He mentions that humans can’t ignite themselves unless they’re a Lunarian, like King is. Sanji retorts by mentioning how his passion is hotter than fire.

The two clash and continue their conflict. Such amazing visuals. The color of the fire, Queen’s Haki. It’s all such a sight to see! Zoro and King clash, and Zoro learns more about King’s weaponry. It’s not a regular old blade. It has the ability to extend small parts out. That and King has spikes on his fists that can come out. Hyogoro notices that Zoro has Enma, and Kawamatsu thinks back to when Hiyori offered it to Zoro in exchange for him allowing Shusui to stay in the Land of Wano.

Hyogoro says that Zoro looks so much like the Daimyo of Ringo, Shimotsuki Ushimaru in his youth. Ushimaru was a descendant of the God of the Blade, Shimotsuki Ryuma, and a great swordsman. Kawamatsu says that the fact Zoro returned Shusui to the Land of Wano feels like fate. Also the fact that Ushimaru was also a one-eyed samurai AND they have similar swordplay. I would like to learn more about this guy…

Lastly, we focus on none other than the Fifth Emperor, he calls out for Momo so that he can get back to Onigashima and kick Kaido’s ass. Luffy sees Momo’s sudden growth and stairs with that BADASS smile of his. He exudes badassery everytime! It never ceases to amaze me!

I am looking forward to the future One Piece badassery!

This episde was pretty great but I do want to mention one thing they sort of miss conveyed. Marco was supposed to say

"ITS TIME FOR THE STARS TO TAKE THE STAGE"

Reffering of course to the straw hats, specifically Sanji and Zoro who were currently ready to fight King and Queen. Instead the translation read as "here comes the star". Not only does it not sound as good, but they gave all the faime to zoro alone. One can even say that this might be backed by someone with a zoro agenda or a huge fan of zoro. But sanji should recieve the credit as much as zoro. They are the two wings of the Pirate king and this is the way Oda wrote it in the manga.

I HATE this so much. I see now why sometimes manga fans are seen as annoying by anime-only's as OP is the 1st manga I've properly read well ahead B4 the anime but wtf man.
The anime keep's ruining manga scenes to make Zoro look cool. I don't particularly have anything against him, I actually like him but I hate how Toei ruins important scenes to fit this narrative.
In the anime Zoro completely tanked that entire Kaido/Big Mom combo attack while in the anime he only blocked it for a fraction of a second so that Law could teleport anyone away.
Now they have Marco changing the Stars line to Star. Also the portrayal of Sanji here to comedic relief and competing with Zoro ruins the whole scene for me.
I am reading the whole OP Manga again and now I can't wait to re-read Wano to remove this filthy, Zoro wanking propaganda, garbage from my memory
