The people who think they know everything and are extremely rude and aggressive about it tend to be the most ignorant people who know the least, and regardless of the fact that Delia is a young child (as are many of the main characters, except Myne mentally), she still very much gives off that vibe and seems like a real world person who would very likely go on to develop along that exact same manner and trajectory as a teenager and an adult.

She is also the type obsessed with her standing, image, and praise and crumbs of rewards from people she places on a pedestal and constantly seeks to elevate herself at the expense of other people by being needlessly bullying and standoffish. She seems like someone who, in a modern school setting, would go on to become the prototypical "mean girl" highschooler leading or second-in-command of a clique of bullying girls trying to form and assert her identity and gain clout by abusing others.

Of course, she still has lot to improve about her personality; mostly her stubborn and arrogant nature, but currently she is more of a victim (or at least I see her so), and that's why I don't see how hatred towards Delia is warranted. I realize she is not told the truth about Dirk for obvious reasons, but still she may end up badly hurt or killed because she has wrong image of high Bishop and is oblivious to complex situation regarding Dirk.
