Wait.. they can just attack each other in a neutral city and nothing will happen? There better be a declaration of war against the witches next episode or I'll call bullshit.

Rin totally messed everything up, and seems to be facing very little consequences for it. She basically betrayed Alice because she took action without her consent, and Rin knows Alice would never have consented to it, and would be angry. Rin pretty much made a decision that should only be Alice's place to make. It's as if a leader told their assistant to please show the foreign dignitaries to the meeting room, and instead the assistant pulls out a gun and shoots the dignitary, and says "forgive me, I thought they'd be wearing bullet proof vests, and would withdraw from the meeting after I scared them". If the attack (drugging) wasn't bad enough, the sabotage (preventing what the leader/Alice was trying to do) is colossally worse.

I get why Alice went along with the kidnapping, because she's responsible for what her henchman did, and hasn't had enough time to process things yet to throw Rin under the bus by saying it was all her doing. But really, Alice should have just left passed out Iska there with Mismis to minimize the damage done. All Mismis has to do is alert the neutral city's authorities of what happened, and the witch nation would be so screwed. Mismis is probably not going to do that because she's too nice of a person, and have been going along with Iska meeting with Alice way more better than Rin has. Unfortunately with Iska's kidnapping now, Mismis' witch mark, and being friends with that traitor Nora/Shanorotte, Mismis is probably going to be considered as being a spy now.

Anyways, Mismis looks completely different with her hair down, I didn't even recognize her. I thought the solution to her witch mark was going to be defection to the witches. I'm not sure why she just doesn't desert to the neutral cities. I guess there must be some extradition treaties or something, but that wouldn't be too neutral would it? However it sounds like the collective neutral cities are more powerful combined than either the empire or the witch nation.

Half way through the rewatch now, I think I am liking it more than in 2020 as well, nostalgia is probably playing a role there lol. That being said, I do still have some problems with it, I won’t get into them now tho, I’ll probably mention some stuff in my final episode post. And this episode in particular was a good one, another one of the chill episodes after we just got through a mini arc, but along with the chillness came some big moments like Mismis becoming a witch, and this actually came back to me at the start of the last episode, i remembered something being up with her friend and then I immediately remembered Mismis having to hide a mark because she becomes a witch, also it shows it in the OP visuals which helped lol.

And this is definitely an upsetting outcome, just because she fell into a pit she’s now a witch and risks being killed while in her own country due to being essentially branded, but thankfully her unit didn’t turn against her and instead let her keep leading them, although the big question is how will they keep the mark hidden. And later on, just when you thought we were getting another cute Iska and Alice moment, Rin drugs Iska and although it wasn’t planned by Alice, she went along with it and now Iska is captured, a very dirty move in the neutral city even, but to be fair Iska was silly for just accepting that drink lol. We also got to witness Mismis use her witch powers sorta, but she was quickly shut down, kinda unfortunate the mark they’re trying to hide glows like that tho lol.

Good episode, so inside the vortex there was a spirit that got inside Mismis alias the captain
For a moment I thought that Iska was going to talk to Alice to get her out and take her to the other side, but now that I think about it I believe in both the empire and sovereignty they would see her as strange so it would be the same
This happens when you have a lot of trust with the enemy Iska, you were kidnapped haha

PS: After this Mismis will be more useful? Will he have magical abilities? I'll see

My lovely Mismis in despair is hard to watch—she's the best character in the whole series, alongside our busty tsundere Aliceliese.

Now that Iska has been kidnapped because Aliceliese saw him with Mismis, of course our tsundere wouldn’t want her man around other women. I wonder what will happen next, as Aliceliese just broke the Neutral City law.
