| I was surprised that Carrot and Jimbei had no reaction to Coup de burst, I was expecting Carrot to be scared or impressed by it, and maybe a slight chance the Jimbei gives off the same impression that Luffy does, or get shocked after landing. The Mochi Mochi ability is really really something, somewhat similar to Luffy, but it's sticky and can take shape. I wonder what other ability luffy has that Katakuri does not have. |

| Luffy is being destroyed by Katakuri. Jimbei is such a great character. Glad that he was there to motivate and pull them out of their despair. |

| Pedro paid the ultimate price because he believed that Luffy and the others will be able to change the world when the time comes. Here's to hoping that he's watching his friends from heaven and cheering them on. Seeing how one-sided Luffy's fight with Katakuri is so far makes me think about how this fight would've been like if Haki wasn't a thing. While the latter could make as many fists as he likes, his mochi wouldn't have much hitting power compared to the former's rubber punches without Armament Haki. The versatility of mochi in terms of defense and support's still going to be a huge problem, though... |

| Man, so Luffy vs Katakuri is the real boss battle of this arc. Honestly more hyped for this than Big Mom considering how similar the two abilities are. It's fitting that Luffy would fight an upgraded version of himself in a mirror world. Big props to Jimbei for talking sense into everyone. He knows all too well having witnessed both Ace & Whitebeard die on the front lines of Marineford. |

| While it was all hyped up for the Katakuri fight, the scenes outside the Mirroworld were done well enough that they didn't feel like needless padding. Learning of Pedro's sacrifice really broke Brook. He had a moment akin to Usopp on Water 7 and Luffy after Marineford. Maybe this will mean that he'll use the next arc to improve himself even further and bring himself closer to the level of Sanji and Zoro in the group. It was a gut punch to see that even after taking a Coup de Burst direct to the face, Peros and Big Mom were both able to get up and close the distance to the Sunny so quickly. I really hope that later on the crew on the Sunny get to make a joint effort to take down Peros once and for all. Katakuri is one of the most interesting antagonists in all of One Piece so far. On the surface, the mochi fruit would likely get clowned on by many in the OP world. However, just like Luffy, Katakuri has shown that even an unassuming devil fruit can result in terriyingly strong abilities when combined with competence. Most previous opponents of Luffy have either been the clowns with weird abilities used disruptively, or those naturely strong like logias. Katakuri is the best of both. He's demonstrating he can copy all of Luffy's base attacks, but has the additional benefit of being able to multiply them. Luffy needs to figure out something rubber can do that Katkauri can't just copy with mochi, and also be able to overcome his observtion haki. |
