@Demonarion
Finished Kuuchuu Buranko and yup, it was very much my type of thing.
I just love bizarre artsy psychological stuff so this was a blast in that department, but the main reason why I loved it so much was that I recently discovered my love for psychology, so watching an anime about actual mental conditions was a very enjoyable experience.
All the characters, especially Irabu, were very fun and the music was pretty damn memorable as well.
All in all, I loved it. Like, favorites material loved it so thanks for putting in the roulette!

....also I can't get enough of looking at Mayumi holy shit

Forgot to post, but finished watching Bakemono no Ko.

@DarknessPoulet even tho it's a shame it was something short, many thanks for going with this one. The movie was fantastic. I went ahead and watched it with someone else and we both enjoyed it so much. I have to say the art was pretty impressive and the story, while it seemed quite simple, was engaging. I ended laughing quite a lot and even shed a few tears. So, once again, many thanks for the chance to watch it =3 (If you know of another great movie let me know, ne? ♥)

You have to wait until next round, which will be up around the 21st. You can join the manga roulette here if you want, which is open at the moment.

Finished Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto
@SheyCroix
The best thing for me was how the anime managed to collect all of the crazy mumbo jumbo into one whole and still take itself completely seriously without being ridiculous - while also being ridiculous. That’s not an easy feat to pull off. I liked the meta-stories that tied in to the main stories such as the story of Sam the fisherman or the school play, which was my favourite episode. The singing was also great. The slice-of-lifey elements were also quite nice, which is pretty impressive considering how dull I found most of the characters. Aside from the characters, what killed me was the structure. I quite heavily dislike monster-of-the-week, and with the boring characters and the nonsense fight scenes and complete lack of tension, it was a fairly painful watch, but not one without its strong points found in the details. Thanks for submitting, I probably would have never watched this otherwise.

@Conde_Mohr @Pantemic Finished Sakurako-san, and to put it bluntly i disliked it. Is one of those series that had a lot of potential consept wise but awful execution.

It failed as a mystery because instead of establishing and building interesting cases it spends its time focus all its attention on how great Sakurako "deduction" capabilities are... and i use the word deduction very lightly considering the fact that despite the fact that she knows nothing about a person (apart from what can be taken from the bones autopsy) most of the time she is still able to make accurate assumentions.. it is unnatural. On top of that everything gets resolved in a matter of seconds without giving the viewer any time to process or piece the case together.
The show also fails when it comes the way it handled its drama. In a series which main theme is lost and trying to overcome the lost of a dear one, Sakurako takes the melodramatic approach and ultimately loses its merits due to it. A great example of this is with the whole Yuriko grandmother story, it would had be fine as a single episode short story but instead the director tries to shove more unnecessary content into the viewers throats in later episodes oversaturating it.

Also reagarding the main characters.. screw everything about Sakurako. I am fine with eccentric characters, the problem with Sakurako however is that she is borderline unpleasant and the series tries to glorify that. Is one thing to like bones, the other is having no disregard to other people sentiments and everyone arround her acts like "oh well thats Sakurako for you" like some sort of 90s comedy. Tho i guess at least she has more so of a personality then Shoutarou so at least she has that going for her...

Anyway in terms of positives.. the whole cursed man case despite a few glarring flaws was good and there were some good emotional bits. But apart from that, overall a pretty bad series.
