It was a good finale.

As expected, Hikari was the hero of the day, after all. Now she's an official member of the Brave Witches.

Overall, I think this is almost much as good as the Strike Witches, but the characters and their chemistry didn't hit the same way here.

The lack of fanservice also made this a little less enjoyable.

Now Hikari is ready for her own journey, where she'll be waited.. When once she waited for Takami to return.. Maybe now Takami will also wait for their reunion.. As well as Hikari herself will too.. ;P

I was wondering the whole time if Sanya and Eila were also going to jump off the train as well to join Hikari.

I kind of had a feeling that Hikari would use that gun for something when Krupinski gave it back to her.

I hope that we will see a season 2 to brave witches, but since it has been 5 years it may not happen.

This show was a bit more serious than SW, but it took me till about episode 5 or 6 to warm up to the characters in Brave Witches.

Hmm, basic plot and not much fanservice too. I wish there were more boobie times with Takami. I wanna see that scar again. I wanna lick that pink nipple too! 6/10

And here I thought Hikari was gonna be the worst girl of the show. Turns out both sisters are awful. Hated the tough love and refusal to communicate that plagued the final 3 episodes. The CG was also terrible. I expected it coming into this rewatch, but it was much worse coming off of Strike Witches. Speaking of worse, all the characters. Nipa's bad luck was never funny, Naoe was just annoying. The rest aren't bad (aside from the Karibuchi sisters), but they don't really get a chance to exhibit any personality. While SW devoted most of its time to the members of the squadron, BW was more about the neuroi, which is a huge mistake and the trap you fall into when the whole season is about Hikari growing as a combatant and utilizing her stupid ability, which is another thing: the abilities sucks. It doesn't help that they are tied to ugly cg, because Naoe and Krupinski's abilities aren't bad in concept. But 3 eye abilities? And they are all worse than Sakamoto's? A half-baked healer? Makes sense, I guess - not having a healer was seem like an oversight, but she can't be on Miyafuji's level. That just sucks for Georgette, who actually gets characterization and is pretty cute. Then there is eidetic memory.....*shrug*.

Damn. Was not expecting to dislike the series so much. It sucks, but it happens. At least I know better than to watch it for a third time.
