Cool. I'm looking forward to picking up the Blu-rays when Funimation gets to them.

Ahhh, my heart can't take it. Fafner Exodus looks very good audiovisually, somewhat surprising Xebec can put out an actual good looking anime but here they've done it. Also, what a tasty first episode. If this is a sign of things to come, Exodus will be the AOTY for me

Oh, man. What a great episode. I got so much feels seeing all the characters grown up now. Kazuki, Soushi, Kanon, etc. Can't wait to see Maya's full body. The mechs looked so good. Please don't kill off Hiroto after passing down the Gobain mask. Holy shit at that Godzilla Festum. lol

As a BD watcher, I watched the extended version, so I don't know what was left out of the TV version.

gotta say, I think I may have lost my sense of objectivity here, because I really enjoyed this first episode.
Maybe because my standards went so low after the original Fafner's awful introduction.
The cast is still pretty bloated and the character designs certainly don't make it easy to identify who's who, but I've come to accept that from every Fafner show so far.

Some of the exposition and voiceover dialogue was pretty awkward, but overall it had a really strong start.

They finally smoothed out the animation, great job!
I'm getting tired of Kazuki and Soushi's bff relationship, I really need this kind of "new generation" from the series and we finally get to have one. FINALLY!!! GO!!!

However, the characters design still sucks like the others have pointed out. It's really hard to identify who is WHO anymore... what's up with that... lmao...

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.
